The Associate Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design of mechanical parts and assemblies. Work in a cross-functional development group. A variety of tasks and activities are required in this dynamic environment. Handle some small scale designs with guidance.


  • Contribute to design projects and handle simple, tightly scoped design tasks with guidance.

  • Create 3-Dimensional models using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) package.

  • Create and revise drawings and bill of materials

  • Interact with employees, outside vendors and suppliers as needed.

  • Build prototypes to support the development of product design.

  • Other Duties as assigned


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or directly related degree preferred

  • No experience with Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with Associate's degree

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software

  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Knowledge of applicable engineering modeling tools

  • Technical knowledge of content primarily related to mechanical design

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic team

  • Ability to work in laboratory and factory environments
