The SAS Worldwide Marketing Academy is a rotational program that will prepare participants for a career in Marketing. Candidates will be hired into full-time roles as Associate Marketing Specialists. The program begins with concentrated training at SAS's global headquarters in Cary, NC (USA) beginning June 2019. During this training period, participants will learn about SAS as a company, our products, and our core marketing practices. When the in-classroom training is complete, participants will rotate over a two-year period through several areas of marketing (target 3-4 rotations). Some potential assignments include roles in the following functions:
Corporate Communications/Public Relations
Web Design and Optimization
Marketing Sciences/Customer Insights
During the rotation period, the participants will gain a deeper understanding and valuable experience within each unique marketing role, equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed. Upon completion of the rotations, you will be placed within our marketing organization according to your best fit and SAS' business needs.
As an Associate Marketing Specialist, you will have opportunity to:
Receive coaching and mentoring from Marketing professionals.
Learn about products, customers, and our business.
Conduct research on markets, industries, competitors, products, campaigns, and business opportunities.
Work on marketing campaigns, messages, and creative writing assignments.
Work with rotational managers to hone your Marketing skills.
Develop solutions to business problems.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Sales, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Some knowledge of marketing concepts including content, digital, social and email strategies and business-to-business acumen
Good understanding of marketing communication concepts and functions
Proficiency in key internal and external software applications
Good written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audience
Good analytical, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or part of a team
Good organizational and executional skills
Shows some analytical abilities and data-driven decision making
Self-driven and energetic
This is an entry-level position.
