Position Summary:

As part of our Retail team, the Associate Manager is responsible for creating a client experience that accurately reflects the ethos of our brand while building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving sales through outstanding service. The ideal candidate is committed to client service, demonstrating a strong understanding of, if not passion for, the luxury, travel, fashion, and lifestyle markets. Key responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates the daily activities of the store and the daily activities of the sales staff while ensuring all are engaged in promoting and selling products to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Ensures each client receives outstanding client service; greets and acknowledges every client and develops new client relationships to increase sales and build brand loyalty.

  • Ensures our clients receive superior after sales service.

  • Attains monthly sales goal and delivers increases in other KPI goals (conversion, UPT and DPT).

  • Assists the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with training sales associates.

  • Merchandises store as directed by visual guidelines and ensures that all stock is well maintained and in good condition.

This individual must be able to multi-task and flourish in a fast-paced environment while also seeking opportunities to increase efficiencies and revenue for the company. Job Responsibilities * Communicate daily with overseas vendors with all production and delivery information needed * Maintain logistics-related status/delivery charts, to help control production flow and inventory management needs * Manage the Fit Approval Process between factories and tech design * Place Bulk Buy Commitments to factories and establish delivery flow of bulk goods against sales requirements * Analyze and communicate issues with team and overseas factories * Review, monitor and track WIP flow for on time delivery (monitor and track raw materials) * Negotiate and confirm costs based off buys * Create, revise, input and maintain production orders and monitor transmission to factories * Review bulk submits against the approved standard and issue comments accordingly * Review and approve UPC and care label layouts * Code and process production invoices * Assist in Managing the Replenishment Business * Communicate and enforce brand standards with oversea vendors Product Develpment Responsibilities: * Oversee sweater and cold weather accessories development for Collection, Star, SMU and X88 from concept to bulk. * Partner with Merchandising and Design to ensure seasonal lines are built within the SKU Plan * Communicate daily with yarn and trim mills to gather all raw material information, including pricing, MOQ, and lead-times. * Create purchase orders for swatch trial, proto, and sample yarn with the yarn mills. * Target and negotiate proto and sample FOBs to meet corporate margin goals. * Work with oversea agents and mills to source cost-effective yarns * Request and review lab dips against seasonal color standards. * Work with Product Development assistant to review, approve, and archive sample knit downs to have proper hand-off to Production team for bulk review. * Participate in weekly development WIP meetings with Design * Monitor all yarn status to ensure timely arrival of swatch trials, protos, and salesman samples. * Monitor all yarn status to ensure timely arrival of swatch trials, protos, and salesman samples. * Review and assign MSRPs to styles with Merchandising and Design according to SKU Plan * Work closely with product development assistant to prioritize daily tasks including, maintaining systems raw material manager, YDS / FDS, and black card upkeep * Manage the updating and finalization of style master to reflect updated prices as well as fully edited line list Position Requirements * An understanding of the Production/Development Process * Familiar with knit and woven construction. * High level of communication experience with overseas agents and/or factories. * Must be detail oriented and possess strong time management and organizational skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands * A sense of urgency and priority for deadlines Education and Experience * Bachelor's Degree required * Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience within the apparel industry John Varvatos Enterprises, Inc.
