The Associate Project Manager works with the Business Development team to coordinate evaluation and diligence processes across a variety of strategic transactions. Sarepta has become a partner of choice for genetic medicines companies globally and we intend to accelerate our already substantial BD activity going forward; the Associate Project Manager will play a critical role in driving several workstreams as we evaluate the right opportunities. The ideal candidate will be able to work with cross-functional teams across the company to develop project timelines and ensure transaction deadlines are met. This position will also participate in and lead these cross functional and collaborative meetings. The role also has significant deal work exposure and lends itself to advancement in the business development group.
Primary responsibilities include:
Coordinate transaction related activities to ensure that cross-functional teams are completing deliverables on time to support the overall team's various evaluation and diligence workstreams
Coordinate directly with potential counterparties through periods of detailed diligence as part of Business Development discussions.
Define project scope and objectives. Develops preliminary project plans, works with the functional (e.g. R&D, commercial) managers to determine necessary resources, and defines project timeline in coordination with the functional teams.
Collaborate and communicate initiatives with the functional teams to ensure the on-time delivery of requirements and deliverables.
Responsible for delivery and success of assigned projects. Assists in leading team meetings to assess status and resolve issues as they arise.
Review and track the status of projects and deliverables using Microsoft project. Provide project updates and ongoing cost analysis to the project management and functional teams as needed.
Assist in the establishment of the team strategy and make recommendations for methods to optimize Sarepta's process for evaluating external assets.
Lead internal scheduling with executive committee and external scheduling with couterparties
Create and communicate internal presentations showing the overall status and progress of Sarepta's Business Development efforts
Special projects as assigned.
Desired Education and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in biology/chemistry and/or relevant experience with scientific concepts
3 years relevant experience with project management in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
Thorough understanding of Microsoft office applications
Extensive project management skills using various programs to prepare and execute plans
Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Strong ability to take complicated concepts and communicate them succinctly
Working knowledge of the biotech/pharmaceutical industry and product development lifecycle
Previous experience as part of a drug development team a plus
Solid, proven track record managing multiple, complex projects and portfolios to completion
Able to work in a fast paced, high-growth environment
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.
The targeted salary range for this position is $88,000 - $110,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
