Associate Manager, Maintenance, Drive Unit

Tesla is searching for a passionate Associate Maintenance Manager highly motivated to lead Drive Unit night shift maintenance team at Gigafactory Nevada in implementing, maintaining and improving our world-class maintenance program. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department including the upkeep of all manufacturing assets and resources while developing and driving the team to continuous success. The Associate Maintenance Manager will support multiple shops of Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians while supporting Tesla's mission to help accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.

• Support building a collaborative, strong and motivated maintenance team capable of consistently delivering high quality outcomes against aggressive production targets

• Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountability

• Empower the maintenance team to collaborate with engineering and production to improve equipment health and line productivity

• Ensure maintenance teams receive and deploy effective training and workforce development

• Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & an environment of continuous learning and improvement

• Support development of supervisory team for individual professional development

• Ensure maintenance teams utilize standard work practices and consistent best practices across shifts and areas

• Minimum 3 years of operations maintenance management with past hands-on experience maintaining industrial equipment and automation

• Bachelor's Degree, evidence of exceptional experience, or equivalent

• Strong maintenance and reliability knowledge with applicable improvement and/or implementation experience

• Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes including strong Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens PLC, industrial electrical experience, Fanuc and robot experience is a plus

• Strong knowledge/experience managing maintenance and preventative maintenance through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management system)

• Detail oriented and organized with proficient computer skills in spreadsheets; databases and word processing

• Excellent communication and coaching skills and self-motivated, results oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
