ASSOCIATE MANAGER GLOBAL BRAND MARKETING (BARBIE)
The Barbie Global Marketing team sets the global brand strategy, developing products and marketing plans for regional teams to execute in market. The Associate Manager role we are seeking to hire for will focus on our fashion and activity-based segment that targets older girls. They will be a key member of the product marketing team who will provide strategic thinking and lead projects from idea to commercialization. Keys to success will be strong organizational skills with attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, a passion for variety, and the ability to wear many hats. This individual must be able to lead teams and provide a compelling vision and strategy, be creative yet analytical/financially oriented, be resourceful in handling project roadblocks, and a strong executer. The ability to put the consumer first in product strategies and decisions is critical to this role.
Works in coordination with the Brand Manager to manage assigned category of business: Barbie Fashion & Beauty.
Responsible for the creation of global brand-building activities and development of global marketing tools, including brand and product advertising, and development of content with internal and external groups.
Works closely with cross-functional partners (design, marketing communications, packaging, PR, social) throughout the global product development and launch process.
Responsible for product development lifecycle; track and monitor production dates, ship dates and work with cross-functional team to make sure deadlines are met and line documentation is managed to communicate information with markets.
Develop and maintains effective relationship with licensors.
Independently completes consumer and competitive research projects; Provides recommendations to support brand development.
Collaborate with global subsidiaries to address global needs and market feedback; support global information needs.
Introduces and presents new products, strategies and/or research findings multiple times per year.
Track trends in culture to recommend partner opportunities within the fashion and entertainment space.
Experience, Education & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business or related (or equivalent); MBA preferred.
Minimum of 4 years (2 years with MBA) experience in brand marketing (on brand or agency side).
Demonstrated leadership, project management and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills required.
Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data, communicate, and present actionable insights to leadership.
