Overview

TDS Telecom is looking for a dynamic Associate Manager - Field Marketing to support the Madison, WI market and surrounding areas!

The Associate Manager-Field Marketing (AM) is responsible for administering and supporting the initiatives developed by Consumer Marketing to achieve its sales and revenue targets within strategic markets. The AM will support consumer initiatives through the support of local marketing activities and community development efforts within assigned markets. The AM identifies potential community involvement activities that develop and maintain the TDS brands while also generating sales opportunities for consumer products. Part of the AM role is the responsibility for developing local community partnerships with Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) properties, developers/realtors, and other association-based entities to enable further product penetration of video and broadband services to customers in this important segment. The position is responsible for identifying public relations opportunities and competitive threats in the communities supported. The AM will act as a local resource for other centralized teams within TDS as needed. In addition, the AM will provide support in these key markets for Commercial Marketing team efforts.

Responsibilities

Local Market Support:

  • Work directly with Consumer Marketing and local company personnel to provide direct conduit to community-related activities and provide feedback and perceptions related to products and services.

  • Provide local support for marketing strategies including customer demonstration events, open houses, customer appreciation, and other public events to generate sales.

  • Develop partnerships with MDU owners and/or property managers to gain referral agreements and marketing opportunities; develop business relationships with Home Owners Associations and real estate agents or developers for marketing agreements and/or specialized marketing programs.

  • Develop contacts/relationships with local Chambers of Commerce, town administrators and other community business groups and leaders

  • Administer the local, tactical, and targeted sales initiatives developed by Commercial Marketing (sales blitzes, group demonstrations, campaign support, referral generation, targeted prospecting, and local activities).

  • Support Commercial Sales efforts and assist with sales calls when requested (needs analysis meetings, proposal presentations, demonstrations).

  • Administer local marketing trials or tactics developed by Consumer and Commercial Marketing teams.

Product Support and Competitive Information:

  • Monitor and identify competitive threats and opportunities.

  • Collect competitive data and funnel to consumer and commercial product management/development support teams.

  • Provide competitor offering/pricing and supply comparisons to products and services.

  • Act as a conduit for the Consumer and Commercial Sales Teams to Product Management/Development with input on potential product and service modification and developments feedback.

  • Assist with Aid to Construction (ATC) and Land Development Agreements (LDA) as requested.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree OR 4+ years professional work experience.

  • 4+ years marketing, sales or customer operations experience.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Other Qualifications:

  • Proficient with sales CRM tools and database management.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Experience in conducting group product demonstrations.

  • Due to serving multiple geographically dispersed markets, must be willing to travel 40%-50% of the time.

  • Background and/or working knowledge in customer service, marketing, management and/or sales.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

This role will build HCP marketing materials and collateral, peer to peer content and educational programs. They will collaborate with Medical & Operations to lead speaker training and program execution. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding collaboration and project management skills including the ability to manage without authority, communicate complex clinical information effectively with, medical professionals, field-based teams and external agency partners, as well as manage budgets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Lead marketing strategy and tactics for peer to peer channel. Partner with medical & agency to develop clinical content for the channel. Become the scientific expert for the brand. * Lead speaker creative and content. * Plan, coordinate and lead speaker program execution at symposiums, product theaters, regional & national broadcasts. * Plan & coordinate ongoing speaker engagement & training opportunities for speakers, such as webinars, in-person meetings, and live speaker programs. * Ensure coordinated efforts for training of field force partnering with Sales Effectiveness team & Sales Leadership. * Provide day-to-day oversight of external agency partners and manage the budget. * Develop marketing materials to recruit attendees and promotional resources needed for the channel. * Collaborate with congress lead to ensure seamless execution of speaker programs at regional & national congresses. * Collaborate with Commercial Analytics team to ensure appropriate analytical plans are developed and measurement of promotional program effectiveness, efficiency, and ROI. * Collaborate with personal promotion lead to determine the development of tactics for specialty sales force and inside sales representatives. * Any supervisory responsibilities. * Ability to travel approximately 25% of working time. * Regular and reliable attendance. * Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (life science, engineering, marketing, business, or related field of study). * Minimum of five years of commercial experience (e.g. marketing, sales, new product planning, reimbursement, etc.) working in or closely with KOLs & field force. * Ability to motivate and lead teams of cross-functional resources in a matrixed organization with competing priorities, with or without direct authority or reporting relationships. * Ability to manage and prioritize strategies, initiatives and workload proactively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. * Exceptional project management skills including coordination, communication and adherence to budget and completion goals, prioritization and troubleshooting. * Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills. * Strong marketing/business acumen and ability to process complex clinical information. * Adaptable, open to change, and able to work in ambiguous situations with some direction and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances. * Experienced in Microsoft Office products. * Willing to travel up to 25% of the time. * Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
