JOB SUMMARY

The objective of this job is to support our restaurant teams to improve unit level sales and margins. It is a highly collaborative role within the finance team that works closely with operations to identify outliers, provide insights, act as a steward of the brand.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work with field management to ensure optimal customer experience while delivering maximum profits

  • Communicate with senior business partners on a regular basis and report on financial results, identify outliers and trends and provide insight into potential causes, help eliminate issues and provide ideas for improvement

  • Provide coaching, build financial knowledge, and drive accountability for above store leaders in operational region of responsibility

  • Develop P&L line-item expertise, evaluate financial results, identify opportunities and help FP&A to develop forecasts

  • Contribute to the process of translating the annual strategic plan and operating plan into a unit level plan for each restaurant

  • Partner with corporate based teams strategically designed to uncover, identify or create productivity opportunities for operators

  • Provide financial leadership on cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects deliver returns, where appropriate, and that all costs and savings are evaluated and presented to senior management accurately

  • Develop reporting and analysis tools; work with large amounts of data; and make appropriate, realistic and timely decisions based on consideration of the facts and alternatives

  • Utilize financial modeling to evaluate project proposals, perform return analysis, and develop planning methodology

  • Evaluate franchisee financials and payback periods

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience (e.g., Financial Reporting & Analysis, Business Operations, Corporate Finance, Consulting)

  • Strong internal motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking and ability to identify and leverage best practices

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication/presentation skills, with ability to partner well with other team members and interface effectively with all levels of management

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to succinctly interpret data for executives and frame business issues in a straightforward manner

  • Effective in managing large amounts of data and using financial and data base analytical tools (i.e. Excel, Access, Hyperion)

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $103,500.00 to 121,700.00 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
