Associate Manager, Data Governance - Materials
This position is responsible for the Material Master team which works collaboratively with the board mills, Non-SAP and SAP converting plants, operations, IT, and sales and operational support teams to create and govern board and finished goods materials in both SAP and Non-SAP systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day management of Material Master team
Manage projects and department budgets
Lead development of material master data that impacts business processes by working with cross functional team, global MDM team members, IT, and stakeholders
Influence and orchestrate the governance and alignment of material creation and change processes in SAP/Non-SAP systems
Develop a thorough understanding of data lineage and touch points across Non-SAP, SAP, data lakes, and reporting systems - identify synergies and harmonization in data capture to streamline processes
Responsible for ensuring work instructions and/or technical data on all facets of the material master data process
Collaboratively resolve business process issues supported by material master data
Lead M&A and system conversion master data integration projects
Assign or participate in any other projects related to material master data
Responsible for leading the team to achieving department and company metrics and goals
Provide guidance, mentorship, and development to direct reports and the larger team
Lead the hiring process for new employees
Be a leader for safety culture within their teams and building
Identify, develop, and lead department-wide continuous improvement initiatives utilizing both LEAN and Six-Sigma tools, techniques, and methodologies
Drive the development and modification of standards, tools, processes and training materials
Supports and partners with key resources, to ensure alignment, transparency and support for key projects.
Actively participate in, and contribute to, local Culture Development ideas, initiatives, and activities
Other duties as assigned
Skills:
High-level of knowledge of paperboard substrates, SAP PRD procedures, SAP material creation and reporting
Prior demonstrated experience of Master Data Management
Prior experience with SAP/Info Steward
LEAN / Six Sigma education and experience
Solid Computer Skills - i.e., advanced excel skills, experience with Share Point - must be able to efficiently work with large data sets from multiple sources to address data quality issues
Exceptional attention to detail
Requirements:
5+ years master data management, packaging industry experience, or related field
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
Prior Supervisory/Management Experience, preferred
Very high level of focus and attention to Safety, Quality, and Productivity expectations and requirements
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and meet short deadlines
Proven skills in collaboration and partnering across functions and levels
Ability to work independently while supporting team goals and objectives
Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
Highly detail-oriented
Ability to apply initiative and exercise good judgment when making timely decisions based on data, facts, and experience
Mentor and develop employees to drive accountability and responsibility across the organization with a focus on improving organizational culture

Pay Range: $93,030.00 - $124,005.00
