Associate Manager, Copywriting & Motion Design

Job Summary

As a member of the creative team, the designer/copywriter will write and edit content for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media), working closely with the account and design teams to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging.

Responsibilities

• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.

• Raise the creative bar continually for content that connects with our target audience and drives action.

• Be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on the industry, or target audience.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications and industry trends.

• Stay current on the appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging.

• Interpret creative briefs to develop concepts for execution.

• Research and understand creative needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject-matter experts, and in-person meetings.

• Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials.

• Collaborate with account managers and creative staff, from concept development to delivery of final product.

• Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal team

• Revise copy based on internal and client feedback.

• Motion or video-based ads and posts

• Static graphic content for social ads and posts

• Design graphics to assist in other digital marketing platforms such as landing pages, emails, websites and more

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or higher, in graphic design, communications, or similar
• 3-5 years of digital motion/video-editing/graphic design experience,
• Experience in digital marketing design as it relates to:

o Social media and online banner advertising

o Motion design and video editing

• Overall visual design, typography, layout, image retouching and digital storytelling

• Expertise in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, Mac OS, other tricks, and tools

• Deep knowledge of social media platforms and best practices

• Experience with fast paced work, rush requests and quick updates

• Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides

• Experience with content management systems

• Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
