Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an experienced community manager who's passionate about the gaming industry, player communities, communication, and social media that is ready to take on team development for Overwatch. This role works in partnership with the marketing and game teams to build player excitement and relationships on behalf of the franchise. The ideal candidate is driven and motivational, a student of brand marketing and communications, with a proven track record of large-scale community development efforts in the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and execution of all North America community development programs for Overwatch

  • Assist manager with hiring, on-boarding, training, team morale, and productivity

  • Act as public-facing representative of Blizzard and communicate on behalf of the brand across multiple channels and at events

  • Develop, manage, and execute communication plans and for Overwatch's social media channels

  • Develop and manage ongoing partnership activities with Content Creators

  • Work closely with external partners on Overwatch initiatives while maintaining brand integrity

  • Work closely with event planning and travel agencies

  • Quality control on social media initiatives

  • Create engagement opportunities at in-person and online events

  • Collect, analyze, and report on channel performance data to drive continuous improvement, optimization, and innovation

  • Provide meaningful feedback to game teams on the community's sentiment, concerns, and suggestions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum five years' experience with brand communications, forums, and social media

  • Minimum two years' experience with third party relationship management

  • Minimum two years' experience with channel management, publishing calendars, reporting & analytics

  • Staff hiring, goal setting, coaching, and management experience preferred

  • Familiarity with project management and process improvement

  • Able to travel, including international travel, and work long hours and weekends when needed

Pluses

  • Advanced degrees in communication, marketing, or related field

  • Project management training and experience

  • A passionate gamer possessing ample experience with Blizzard games

  • Knowledge of the FPS market

  • Existing strong personal network within Blizzard's communities

  • Video production and / or graphic arts experience

Under general supervision, supervises and manages account transition and handles irregularities as required by schedule, Board of Directors and homeowners. This position may also include handling several different accounts during attrition, transition and/or account set up. Will also involve working with several different individuals throughout the company for the proper management of an account and any punchlist items and projects that may be needed on a case by case basis. To be responsible for client retention, associate retention, and the advancement of FirstService Residential and FirstService Residential's clients' services in terms of its image, visibility, reputation, diversification, professionalism, and technology. To be a believer in and be an active supporter of FirstService Residential's philosophies and culture to staff, client, and community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Coordinates and monitors service of vendors to associations. * Negotiates contracts with vendors and provides RFP's and bids to preset to board. * Supervise on-site staff at associations and/or other admin or association staff. * Oversees and ensures timely processing of customer service requests and complaints. * Monitors violations and reports same to Board of Directors. * Schedules, attends, and coordinates all follow-up following periodic walk throughs and prepares a punchlist which is distributed to all attendees. * Reviews and authorizes payment of invoices. * Organizes and maintains all association files in accordance with company procedures. * Coordinates, schedules and attends Boards of Directors meetings for each of their accounts or the people they manage and the annual election process. * Prepares and oversees distribution of monthly Board of Directors packet. * Authors and coordinates with copy shop any mass mailings to the membership (budget information, newsletters, election information, etc.) * Prepares bid specifications and coordinates obtaining of bids for services as necessary at each association. * Reviews bids and quotations and makes a recommendation to the Board as to who to select. * Prepares a draft budget based on an average of actuals for each association a minimum of one time per year as required by Civil Code 1365 and the Board of Directors. * Interacts and follows up with all Board members and homeowners regarding common area issues on each association managed. * Any and all other assignments as deemed necessary by supervisor or management. * Manages a Master Planned Community. * Supervises Community Management staff. * Works effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and; respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions, words and deeds. * Follows quality system procedures. * Must have reliable transportation and be able to drive to other work locations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises community managers and other community management support staff. QUALIFICATIONS * Comprehension and attainment of all areas of skills for an account executive (financial, written, verbal, negotiations, thoroughness, procedural comprehension and compliance). * Two or more years in property management. * Demonstrated account retention. * Demonstrated associate retention. * Demonstrated strong supervisory skills. * Demonstrated excellent client interaction and visibility. * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word and Excel. * Superior written and verbal communication skills.
