KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate in M&A Services for our KPMG Strategy practice.


  • Execute on a broad range of data and analytics techniques at the direction of KPMG and client leaders

  • Research and study the business for a given project and critically dissect the strategy, leading the development of insightful analysis and creating a hypothesis-driven approach

  • Author, prepare and deliver marketing and training materials for all professional levels; help lead project work streams including structuring the work, executing it, generating insights, preparing written communications, and effectively communicating results to the team and client

  • Provide deep business analytics and integrate findings into project deliverables


  • A minimum of three years consulting experience in Strategy, M&A, and/or transaction services with deep experience in data and analytics, along with significant financial analysis experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in a quantitative field such as data analysis, statistics, mathematics, finance or economics; Master's degree in one of these areas is highly preferred

  • Superior analytical skills using financial modeling, research, accounting analysis; proficiency with financial research tools

  • Strong understanding of statistical techniques such as aggression, clustering, A/B testing, and time series modeling and forecasting

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to business people, and explain business concepts, issues and challenges to technical people

  • Applicants must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship or support now or in the future

  • Ability to travel as necessary

Responsibilities As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the project * Prepare deliverables * Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen * Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues * Ensure you are adhering to compliance matters * Work on developing internal relationships and your PwC brand The Data Automation (DA) practice within Tax Reporting & Strategy (TRS) is comprised of tax and technology professionals who work with our clients to define and implement intelligent technologies such as robotic process automation, machine learning and natural language processing. Our DA practice is focused on deploying technologies that can be implemented in short sprints, to address acute problems, with manageable costs. Job Requirements and Preferences: Basic Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year(s) Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates some knowledge and/or a proven record of success in: * Understanding underlying client business problems; and, * Developing RPA technology-enabled solutions that address the needs of large organizations, including implementing technology solutions to help streamline organizational needs, meet legal-related and industry-specific compliance standards and regulations and leverage hands on experience with the implementation of Robotic and Intelligent Process Automation tools. Demonstrates some knowledge in data ingestion technologies (Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, Trifacta, SSIS, etc.), data visualization/analytics tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.) and an interest in furthering that knowledge. Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success, as both an individual contributor and team member with identifying and addressing client needs including: * Leveraging knowledge of RPA implementations, including strategy design, business case development, governance and risk; * Interest in tax technology implementations, including selection of software packages, assessments of processes and data flows, tax systems implementation and configuration and digital tax transformation; * Interest in tax-related data analytics; * Demonstrated potential in developing and sustaining client relationships, preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; * Ability to define resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection; and, * Utilizing effectively written and verbal business communication skills within a professional business services environment, including interacting with clients and firm staff and/or management.
