The Associate LATAM Licensing Manager:

Hardlines is responsible for category management of LATAM hardlines, inclusive of select toys, collectibles, food & beverage, consumer electronics, games & puzzles, and co-manage location-based entertainment as well as co-manage licensing agencies in LATAM. The Associate LATAM Licensing Manager:

Hardlines will contribute to shape and implement SEGA's licensing plan with a focus on Sonic the Hedgehog to help drive the company to success as a leader in worldwide entertainment. This position will also discover innovative licensing opportunities and recommend categories / products within the aforementioned hardlines categories to be licensed, negotiate licensing deals, personally execute agreements, and manage day-to-day partnership from start to finish. This position will work with the Manager, LATAM SEGA Licensing to determine short-term strategic objectives and contribute to the long-term strategies of the licensing department.

The Associate LATAM Licensing Manager:

Hardlines will work closely with the Manager, LATAM Licensing and Sr. Director of Licensing to determine and manage short-term strategic objectives and contribute to the long-term strategies of the licensing department.

Will provide consultation to compose yearly forecasts (updated quarterly) for licensing revenue with existing partners. Partner with Manager, LATAM SEGA Licensing to advise on category strategies for any white-space business opportunities. Possesses understanding of licensing industry including knowledge of product categories, sales channel and retailer insight, sales lifecycles, line planning, trends and play patterns.

Will be able to think analytically and creatively to provide resolutions or to consult with the direct supervisor as needed. Expected to be a brand aficionado within 3 months and a brand expert within 8 months. This role will interact with virtually every department at SEGA given that they are the primary point of contact for our licensees.

This role will actively manage contract negotiations with new partners and existing licensees (with Associate Director of Licensing: Hardlines consultation) to ensure the most favorable terms for the business. Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage hardlines categories; inclusive of select toys, collectibles, food & beverage, consumer electronics, games & puzzles, and co-manage location-based entertainment (with Associate Director of Licensing: Hardlines consultation), inclusive of contract execution, management of existing partnerships, analyzing performance data and marketing strategy for product sell-in and sell-through. Manages the execution of all licensing documents (NDAs, deal memos, merchandise license agreements, amendments, manufacturing agreements, trademark agreements, etc.) and review licensing contracts, negotiate key business terms with licensees and work closely with legal team to finalize contracts.

Collaborates with Manager, LATAM SEGA Licensing on white-space opportunities. Manages the process between licensee and SEGA Corporate Finance and Accounting to ensure accuracy of royalty reporting on a quarterly basis. Liaise with Product Development team to ensure timely approval of products which may include lead meetings; coordinate programs across all categories; review line lists; respond to product development team in the case of product submission changes; execute merchandising plans; public relations and advertising coordination.

Ensure all appropriate reviews are and approvals completed at each stage before proceeding to the next. This can be anything from stylization concepts, to deal terms, to marketing assets, to product launch, etc. Consulting regularly with Product Development to ensure bandwidth is available before committing to a project or partnership.

Contribute towards development of marketing materials and presentation decks of SEGA IP to potential and existing licensees. Recommend growth opportunities in new product categories and execute new segments to fill gaps for each SEGA property. Obtain and review quarterly sales forecast information from licensees in order to build quarterly forecast and budget.

With consultation from Manager, LATAM SEGA Licensing, works with licensees to adjust forecasts and manages business expectations accordingly. In partnership with Manager, LATAM SEGA Licensing provide category input within the long-term strategic plan. Lead discussions based on strategic market research and industry knowledge.

Work with Manager, LATAM SEGA Licensing to compile and analyze retail sell-through information including analyzing sales trends. The individual will execute any work assigned by their direct supervisor as it relates to the business of the department or company. Responsible for obtaining and organizing product beauty photographs for use within the organization.

Qualifications Qualifications and Skills: At least 4 years of experience in outbound Licensing or deal negotiation in a comparable industry. At least 4 years of experience working with the Latin American market. 4 years of experience working with international licensing agents.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese Strong proficiency in reviewing licensing contracts and fluency in negotiating key business terms. Strong connections with companies in the hardlines space.

Knowledge of the retail market in the hardlines space in LATAM with ability to envision new consumer product opportunities. Excellent relationship builder with collaborative team player mentality Accomplished communicator and analyst with attention to detail Above average presentation skills - including deck building and time management. Resourceful, proactive, and a self-starter. Ability to work with various personalities and treat everyone with kindness and respect.
