Amazon Studios' IP & Literary Department is seeking an Associate Scout to support and contribute to our scouting operations, which functions across the entire Studio, inclusive of domestic film & TV divisions, as well as our global and local-language film & TV teams.
Responsibilities will include helping source new material, managing the compilation of bi-weekly and annual book-fair scouting / tracking reports, review of foreign rights guides, contributing to creative evaluations of literary material, managing coverage readers and the department's internal database, meeting and pitch participation, interacting with creative teams, aiding in rights checks and book-fair-scheduling, as well as light travel. The ideal candidate is a team-player with a deep and voracious passion for literature and tv/films, is eager to learn, extremely thorough and also effective with time management, and enjoys building relationships. They should also pride themselves on trustworthiness and handle confidential information and materials with discretion and care.
