Most of P&G's IT professionals are a part of the Application & Integration or Infrastructure discipline. Application & Integration is the work covering strategy, development, implementation, maintenance and governance of the P&G's business applications. You will drive innovation, excellence in design, modern integrations, focused user experiences, and better vendor delivery. Whether it's developing new or improved applications, handling projects impacting all P&G's employees, or ensuring that our systems are always on, there is something for everyone in IT at P&G.

The roles we are looking to fill include:

  • Application Engineers - establishes the right design, leads the engineering work, owns change management and acts as escalation point for operations for a given application or application platform.

  • Application Managers - leads solution development, quality assurance, and release management for to meet business, user and system requirements for a given application or application platform.

  • IT Operations - leads end-to-end service delivery including strategy; ensuring operational excellence; accountable for service delivery including overall quality of service, controls, and financial targets.

  • Project Managers - Overall accountable for end-to-end success of the project while integrating the technical, business, and commercial deliverables.

We look for leaders who have graduated with a BS or MS in MIS, Computer Science, Industrial or Computer Engineering, (or other like degrees) and MBA's with a technical undergraduate degree or background.

  • You need at least a Bachelor's degree

  • Real passion for technology and the ability to use technology to add business value

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence others to take action

  • Proven leadership in extra-curricular activities

  • Possess strong thinking/analytical skills which can be applied to business processes with a "can-do" attitude

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities

  • A recent college graduate with less than 5 years of Information Technology experience

This employee also oversees all activities associated with the planning and operation of the City's fiber optic network. Employee coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public and provides highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Information Technology Manager. Performs related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications (KSAs) (Illustrative only. Any one position may not require all of the listed KSAs nor do the listed examples include all the KSAs which may be required.) Knowledge of: Principles of municipal budget preparation and control. Principles of human resources management, supervision, training, and performance evaluation. Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations. Principles and practices of business management, project management, and business process design. Network operating systems, network protocols, LAN/WAN hardware and design concepts, and networked systems management practices. Data communications security and privacy techniques The development of design specifications Network hardware configuration and design Routing protocols, bridging, switching, gateways, VoIP, TCIP, wireless technology Network security / firewalls Active Directory, services, structures, management techniques Local and wide area fiber optic network planning, implementation, installation, and operations Fiber optic transport technologies Current trends in networking. Contracts for goods and services; vendor negotiation. Skill to: Operate appropriate computer and network equipment; use properly all related hardware and software. Ability to: Participate in 24x7 on-call support for all areas of assigned responsibility Convey complex technical knowledge while coaching junior staff members Communicate technical terms at a level appropriate to the audience Identify complex technical problems and develop effective solutions Ensure optimal operation of all network equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, wireless devices, UPSs, firewalls and related network equipment Consider City network and security in all network solutions Negotiate with outsource, vendors, and contractors to secure network products and services Plan and coordinate installation of infrastructure technology Direct and administer assigned staff including conducting performance reviews, and where necessary corrective action Implement and maintain positive employee relations. Military or other demonstrable experience, certifications, training, may be substituted for formal education. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must be an excellent communicator and team builder. Must pass security clearance. MILITARY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE EVALUATION Military education and or experience may be substituted for college level course work at the lower and upper division baccalaureate and graduate levels and apprenticeship training at the vocational certificate level on a case by case basis based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide recommendations.
