Responsible for the handling, moving, loading and unloading of materials by hand or by using a variety of material handling equipment.

Opens and seals crates, boxes, cartons, and other containers. Collects, sorts, stores and distributes materials. Process orders from requisitions and dispense stock items.

May assist in inventory of stock, including stock rotation. Responsible for the shipping, receiving and processing of freight according to company policies and procedures. Ensures the orderly stocking and/or timely delivery of merchandise.

Maintains and updates the purchase order system as shipments are received, cancelled, or back ordered. Processes inventory paperwork. Updates management on all inventory issues on a regular and as-needed basis.

May participate in activities including kit and bundle breakdown and component sorting. What you bring to the role: Established and productive individual contributor.

Works under moderate supervision. Problems faced are typically routine, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Makes minor adjustments to working methods.

Communicates information that requires explanation or interpretation. Provides administrative or technical support at an intermediate level. Still gaining or have attained full proficiency in their specific area of discipline.

Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Works under moderate supervision. May seek the advice of senior personnel in the functional area.

Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments. High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 year degree preferred. 3 years of general experience or 2 years functional experience. Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

The Distribution Lead is responsible for safely, accurately and efficiently receiving, storing, tracking and distributing goods. Will communicate job assignments, train, and place employees in assignments. Requirements * Direct, delegate, and assign tasks to Material Handlers * Train employees on procedures and duties * Assure all product is received, stored, tracked and shipped according to standards * Monitor inventory of regular white and CHEP pallets * Track, log, and create bill of lading for food scrap truck * Weigh and track bulk liquid totes to determine scrap factor and inventory losses * Forklift battery maintenance * Monitor receiving functions * Monitor the unloading of raw and packaging materials * Enter or check the accuracy of all incoming PO's receipts and inspections * Ensure that materials are correctly labeled and stored in proper areas based off climate control needs * Monitor shipping functions * Assist in verifying orders and loading trucks as needed * Investigate any order picking errors * Monitor orders that need repicks and missing item fulfillments * Pick orders as needed when we are short-staffed * Production Support * Cover breaks and monitor radio requests to ensure all production needs are met in a timely manner. * Create MRP (Materials Request for Production) based on system needs for production * Communicate any material shortages, that may impact production, in a timely manner * Inventory Control * Investigate and adjust inventory inaccuracies * Work with QA and procurement on any expired ingredients for proper disposal and inventory adjustments in the system * Monitor all cycle counts * Work with production personnel to resolve inventory issuers within production that may have been caused by incorrect transfers or issuances * Quality: Work with QA techs on managing any holds or contaminated product that is pending disposition * Sanitation: Monitor completion of weekly master sanitation tasks provided by sanitation supervisor * Escalate issues to Distribution Manager as needed * Motivate employees and promote a positive work environment * Demonstrate strong commitment to GMP's and the production of outstanding quality products * Prepare paperwork as necessary * Identify health and safety issues * Other duties as assigned Skills & Requirements * Coaching & Mentoring: Enables co-workers to grow and succeed through feedback, instruction, and encouragement * Relationship Buildiing: Builds constructive working relationships charaterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect. * Safety Focus: Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices * Accountability & Dependability: Takes personal responsibility for quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight * Results-Focus & Initiative: Focuses on results and desired outcomes and how best to achieve them.
