Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
  • 1+ years' experience analyzing, administering, and troubleshooting hardware and/or software, preferred.

Job Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for providing maintenance and support for the Bank's IBMi hardware and software for all IBMi related systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists with managing and monitoring multiple IBMi systems, including security awareness, performance tracking, system reliability, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies.

  • Ensures the highest level of data and system availability and security by protecting corporate information from unauthorized access.

  • Collaborates with technology and business partners to create plans and enhance implementation strategies.

  • Coordinates with the Banking Systems management team, other internal teams, and external vendors to implement recommended solutions for identified software problems.

  • Contributes to IBMi Banking Systems Roadmap by identifying priorities and resourcing required to fulfill Banking Systems strategic planning.

  • Supports the existing IBMi Banking Systems' applications to meet the needs of our customers.

  • Assists with IBMi software upgrades, firmware updates, and vendor-related software upgrades.

  • Assists in operations as specified on the Daily Operations or Nightly Operations log sheet, as needed.

  • Enthusiastically support and model the Bank's values and mission.

  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of other essential job functions.

  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge and deep understanding of IBMi technology environment/dependencies and how it supports employees and customers.

  • Ability to maintain maximum availability of all IBMi platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well with exacting deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective customer service skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.

  • Ability demonstrate attention to detail.

  • Ability to travel to Data Centers within the Bank's footprint with some overnight travel, as needed.

  • Skill in technical planning and troubleshooting.

  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
