  • Able to interpret production documentation including Traveler, order forms, customer's special instructions, , training sheets and other relevant process information * Able to perform assigned machine operating tasks and hand assembly tasks at expected production volume * Able to use small to medium machinery in the department, such as hand drills, etc. * Visually inspects material during the assembly process to prevent defects and scrap * Responsible for quality of assembled product prior to and including their workstation * Provides written suggestions for continuous improvement * Assists with training of others * Strict compliance to FDA and ISO control standards and record keeping * Adheres to all safety policies * Performs predictive/preventative maintenance as necessary * Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in accordance with 5 S principles * Complete all required training applicable to assigned position * Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.Required Skills * High School graduate or equivalent * Basic math skills * Ability to use machinery such as band saws, table saws, punch presses and benders * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to stand for 8-10 hours * Bending, twisting and/or squatting may be required * Demonstrated flexibility in attitude and willingness to work in all areas as needed * Demonstrated ability to understand and follow work instructions * Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment * Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision * Ability to work overtime with little or no notice * Ability to be cross-trainedRequired Experience * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of quality standards to apply visual inspection * Knowledge of proper problem-solving skills * Must have thorough understanding of quality systems and their relationship to job performance including ISO Overview, corrective/preventative actions and work instructions * Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to perform the duties pertaining to job* 2-5 years assembly experience * Medical Assembly experience a plus.Job Location Simi Valley, California, United StatesPosition TypeFull-Time/RegularSalary12.00 - 15.00 USDApply

The Associate Mechanical Drafter will create details of fabrication and assembly drawings for manufacturing and assembly of the finished products. The primary area of expertise shall be the updating of drawings, creating parts lists, detailing of new components including machined parts for rotating mechanisms, and packaging of electro-mechanical, electrical, and microwave components. This involves creating CAD generated detail drawings of various machine type parts, brackets and assemblies. * This position reports to the Director Antenna Pedestal Design. * Plans, lays outs, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics. * Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD, CAM, CATIA, Pro-Engineer or SolidWorks. * Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices. * Determines scaling, inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning. * Prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations. * IND * LI-AH1 HS Diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years of hands on electro-mechanical work experience and the use of engineering drawings is required. Must be experienced in the use of SolidWorks with a minimum of one (1) full year of classroom training including hands on experience. Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Must have knowledge of commercial drawing practices and standards, such as ANSI Y14.5 Must possess experience in reading drawings of electro-mechanical assemblies and cable diagrams. The ability to work with a diverse group of engineers and possess excellent communication skills is required.
