POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Head Coach, Men's Soccer reports to the Head Men's Soccer Coach and is responsible for all aspects of the University of Tulsa's NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Program. This position will perform as a positive role model for student-athletes in an upbeat environment which strives for academic and athletic excellence and will establish a professional relationship with student-athletes, staff, alumni and the general public in an effort to promote the university, and its athletic program.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting the Head Men's Soccer Coach with the overall management of the men's soccer program including operations, team travel, recruiting, equipment, coaching, scheduling, and budget
Assist in the daily preparation and coordination of team practices
Assist in the coordination and management of on-campus (home) men's soccer matches
Assist the Head men's Soccer Coach and other members of the men's soccer coaching staff in the recruitment of highly skilled student-athletes for the men's soccer team
Develop and implement programs to assist student-athletes in their transition into the college environment
Work closely with athletic training, academic and student services, and athletic performance staffs to monitor the progress of student-athletes
Perform necessary administrative duties
Other duties as assigned by the Head Men's Soccer Coach
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of soccer coaching experience
Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills
Strong self-starter
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with student-athletes, faculty, coaches and administrators

Physical Demands
Ability to actively participate in on-field coaching sessions, including demonstrating techniques and tactics
Stamina and endurance to withstand long hours on the field during practices, games, and travel
Physical fitness to keep up with the demands of training sessions
Mobility and agility to move swiftly and demonstrate drills effectively
Strength to handle equipment such as balls, cones, and other training gear, and to assist with setting up and dismantling training areas
Capability to travel with the team for away games, which may involve sitting for extended periods during bus or air travel
