Job Description and Duties

Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA). The vacancy exists in the Facility Operations Department and is under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: provide Facility Management Administrative support; training management; personnel compliance and reporting; report management and compliance. Additional responsibilities include providing analytical, technical, statistical, research, gathering data, inventory control, presentations, accurate recordkeeping, developing and maintaining reports, spreadsheets, templates, graphs and charts, data analysis, and ability to provided consultative and analytical analysis and formulation; provide general office support and back up. May serve in a lead capacity over other administrative support staff.

Incumbents must have excellent oral and written communications skills; be methodical, precise and able to apply completed staff work principles to assignments; displays strong analytical and statistical abilities; and possess excellent problem solving, organizational skills, multi-task abilities and work well under intense pressure. The incumbent must also have excellent interpersonal skills; be dependable; able to follow directions; excellent time management skills; complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines; be able to work with others and promote and maintain positive and effective work relationships; work with all levels of hospital management, DHS Headquarters, other control agencies as appropriate, and ability to collaborate with shops, other disciplines and contractors in coordination of project work. Incumbents will also collaborate as a team member and interact and consult with other analysts, professionals, and technical staff when necessary to fulfill the needs of the Hospital.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access software.

Working Conditions

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
