Meta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced team player to work on the Reality Labs Privacy Legal team and advise the company on a range of privacy and data protection-related legal initiatives. This role is product-focused and will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to build products with a privacy-forward design. This will involve learning about new and modified features for Reality Labs products, identifying and investigating key design elements, coordinating with subject matter experts and regional counsel, and providing practical, actionable advice under global privacy laws.
Associate General Counsel, Privacy (Reality Labs) Responsibilities
Work closely with product counsel and product teams to guide privacy-forward product development and evaluate the impact of privacy laws, regulatory guidance and enforcement actions
Drive high-profile and high-impact projects involving privacy analysis and compliance with cross-functional stakeholders across Meta's business, policy, legal, communications, security, and other departments
Develop regulatory strategy with global privacy regulators in connection with new product features and initiatives and maintain Meta's ongoing privacy-by-design processes
Help to develop and conduct general and role-specific privacy trainings across Meta
Participate in internal privacy compliance programs and processes to ensure we meet our obligations under those programs
Minimum Qualifications
Experience advising on privacy legal risks and mitigations.
Experience working on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
Proven problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working cross-functionally to advance projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
Business judgment and practical counseling skills
In-house experience with applicable product counseling, compliance, litigation, or regulatory teams
Experience prioritizing work and providing advice under deadlines

$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
