The AGC is responsible for corporate and commercial legal matters for Fortive/ASPs businesses in the Americas. The AGC implements legal policies established by the Fortive/ASP GC and seeks efficiencies and continuous improvement in providing effective, risk-appropriate legal services. The AGC will report to the VP & General Counsel and will manage the Senior Counsel-Commercial and IP/Technology Paralegal.
Heres where youll demonstrate your competencies:
LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE: Manages and develops the Fortive/ASP commercial and intellectual property teams; learns and leads with Fortive Business Systems ( FBS ), driving standard work and continuous improvement; serves as role model on integrity and ethical behavior.
COMMERCIAL & CORPORATE: Advises on all aspects of commercial relationships, including review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts and complex commercial arrangements; manages contract review/maintenance processes; reviews and creates contract templates; ensures proper governance and corporate records management of Fortive/ASP Americas entities in coordination with FTV corporate governance paralegal.
COMPLIANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT: Promotes Fortive/ASP compliance policies and programs; may support compliance investigations.
GROWTH: As assigned by the GC, supports M&A and other strategic activities, including acquisition due diligence and post-closing integration.
LITIGATION & CLAIMS: As assigned by the GC, supports litigation, claims, and related legal matters; assists the GC and Finance in determining appropriate reserves for legal matters.
INNOVATION: Implements innovative ways to provide efficient and effective legal services.
OUTSIDE COUNSEL & BUDGET: Manages outside counsel, and controls internal and external legal spend.
TRAINING & EDUCATION: Provides training and updates to commercial teams and other business partners in areas such as contract review, negotiation and management, and legal escalation policies.
OTHER: Assists the GC as requested on other legal matters and projects

Heres what well need from you:
JD from an accredited university and licensed in one US state.
A minimum of 10 years of experience within legal department of an international company or comparable relevant legal experience; major law firm experience is preferred.
Healthcare/MedTech industry experience is preferred.
People management experience required.
Public company experience preferred.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Travel (domestic and international) can vary but anticipated 10-15% of time.
