Associate Financial Analyst

OverviewThe Associate Financial Analyst reports directly to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis and partners closely with members of the sales & marketing team to provide detailed analysis, insights, and reporting. This position also frequently interacts and partners with other members of the FP&A team.Responsibilities * Prepares analysis with limited direction from manager and external customers * Assists in evaluating new product/venture financial viability * Provides explanation and input regarding results * Determine calculations and update templates for business planning activities * Support management reporting and accounting activities, including data validation, report creation * Researches issues and problems as assigned * Pro-actively identifies and communicates problems and solutions * Actively employs problem solving techniques and evaluates possible solutions before seeking direction from manager. * May be required to perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsSkills Required: * Advanced Excel skills, including (but not limited to):*

Can manipulate large datasets using advanced functions like SUMPRODUCT, XLOOKUP, and VLOOKUP to find and process specific data points * Is comfortable using PivotTables for data summarization and creating dynamic reports that can be easily refreshed * Can transform raw data into actionable insights and streamline workflows * Can build and quickly update financial models * Attention to detail and accuracy * Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning systems is a plusCore Competencies Required:* Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow * Comfort dealing with ambiguity * Ability to work independently * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Comfortable interacting with leadership * Ability to act as a "constructive challenger" when representing Finance on cross-functional teamsRequired Experience / Education: * Degree minimum: Bachelor's Degree * Specific concentration: Finance / Accounting * Experience level: 1-3 years of relevant experience
