Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Works to establish his/her own book of business.

  • Works with Senior Financial Advisor/Program Manager when needed on their book of business.

  • Trains and educates credit union staff about America's First Financial.

  • Works with the Membership Development and Community Engagement Department, along with the Senior Financial Advisor/Program Manager and Administrative Assistant to promote the program.

  • Assists in any administrative functions.

  • Performs other job related duties assigned.

Performance Measurements:

Contribute to the goals of the America's First Financial goals as well as the corporate goals established for the credit union.

Ensure member's needs are met by recommending appropriate products and services.

Maintain high level of confidentiality with regard to member's investments.

Ensure all transactions are carried out in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.

Must follow and complete Associate Financial Advisor training program.

Knowledge and Skills:


One month to twelve months of similar or related experience. Life and health, FINRA securities licenses a plus.


Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).

Interpersonal Skills

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Other Skills

Individual must be one who is self-motivated, organized, and has an attention for detail.

Strong analytical and communication skills required.

Physical Requirements

Light lifting required.

Work Environment

Must be willing to travel to all branch locations and as needed.
