Job Description:

CityU School of Business and Management seeks qualified scholar-practitioner faculty for its Doctoral Business Administration program. Successful candidates will have a Doctoral degree and have current work experience in their fields.

Part-time Teaching Faculty at City University of Seattle have three key responsibilities:

  • Striving for excellence in teaching and learning.

  • Fostering student development.

  • Maintaining currency in their profession.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.   • Doctoral degree in business-related fields.

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience. Instructional experience is preferred.

  • Understand the practitioner-faculty model. Possess a passion for learning and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in one's field.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills and a working knowledge of APA.

  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and understand standard journals and documents.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must relate to and communicate with diverse students, faculty, and staff.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.

  • Experience working with students on applied research dissertations, including traditional, TAD, and non-traditional formats, is desired.

  • Working knowledge in Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods.

  • Published articles in journals and presented at conferences.

Salary Information:

Part-time Teaching Faculty salary is based on the number of course credits (1-6) and the number of students in class. Maximum pay is $4,500 per course.

Online and onsite at Seattle Campus.
