What You Will Do
Oversees plans and performs timely and appropriate maintenance, installation and rearrangement of equipment and/or machinery and ensures company compliance with various regulatory guidelines.
Plans, inspects and performs on-going repair, preventive maintenance and facilities related activities.
Plans, coordinates and assists in facilities rearrangement, relocation and renovation projects.
Will be required to work from machinery manuals and/or schematics.
Will be required to comply with documentation procedures/requirements.
Will work from verbal instructions.
Will train others on maintenance and/or safety/regulatory compliance issues.
Will test, repair and maintain a wide range of new and older pieces of equipment/machinery using considerable independent judgment to ensure quality, correct parts and/or proper procedures are being used.
Will interact with vendors telephonically and in person to evaluate, diagnose and/or repair machinery/equipment and/or processes.
May negotiate with vendors and/or recommend equipment, products and/or supplies.
Will perform various facility audits and/or systems tests to ensure compliance with governmental standards/regulations (e.g. OSHA, EPA, ANSI, GMP, etc.).
May coordinate the activities of 1 or more maintenance employees.
May evaluate the performance of 1 or more employee based on pre-established performance parameters.
May be responsible for subordinate compliance with company policy and corrective actions.
May coach and develop subordinates.
May supervise outside contractors.
What you need
A.A.S./B.S. in engineering technology or a related curriculum.
2 years technical school, apprenticeship
Advanced blueprint/schematic reading.
Ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), power tools and test equipment.
Advanced math, measuring and writing skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Lock out/Tag out.
Fork lift operation.
Preventive maintenance system.
Hazardous waste disposal.
Offsite machine maintenance courses.
Clean room owning.
