The Associate, Executive Search leads and performs all research activities within the search execution process for executive and management level positions within FMI. This role independently uses a range of sourcing skills including research, networking, and candidate development to identify the best senior-level talent for FMI across all functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to map FMI's markets and generate candidate names and profiles.

  • Create robust search strategies that will attract the best candidates for FMI to consider.

  • Developing prospects into candidates, engaging them and performing initial assessment.

  • Calibrate candidates with Talent Partners and/or hiring managers.

  • Build a pipeline of talent for critical functions/industries.

  • Maintain data integrity in our TRM system.

  • Contribute to the knowledge base of the Talent Acquisition team by providing education on industries and talent pools/profiles.

  • Draw off knowledgeable industry sources to develop pools of candidates.

  • Participate in client update meetings on active searches and prepare reports.

  • Lead selective on-site interviews and debriefs.

  • Thinking "out of the box" and pivoting search strategies as needed.

  • Provide strategic guidance and advice in partnership with Talent Acquisition and executive leadership.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility in talent research for executive recruiting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of prior work experience in talent research, either for an in-house executive search team in a highly demanding, fast-paced company, or in a large retained executive search company or boutique.

  • Life sciences industry experience.

  • Established history of building and maintaining senior-level relationships with a track record of success in delivering quality senior-level candidate flows that have led to successful hires.

  • Demonstrated success with and passion for using various sourcing techniques.

  • Exceptional research, executive sourcing and assessing skills.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts with senior level executives in a polished and professional manner.

  • Attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Ability to meet growing pipeline demand in a dynamic environment.

  • Inquisitive - A strong desire to learn.

  • Hands-on and detailed approach to key initiatives and activities execution.

  • Demonstrated acumen and passion for executive search and talent acquisition.

  • Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience in setting priorities and effectively managing multiple projects.

  • Accepting of ownership and welcoming of responsibility.

  • Demonstrated exceptional listening skills with the ability to comprehend what is said and probe for important details.

  • Passion for the mission, vision and values of FMI.
