Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Associate Material Process Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Essential Functions:

Electrical M&P Labs (EMPL) needs an Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the processing of flight hardware in the Purchase Change Work Order lab (PCWO Lab) activities. EMPL PCWO Lab Engineer will be responsible from performing lab tasks such as visual inspection and electrical testing.

Other potential activities in other EMPL labs consists of mechanical testing, material testing, outgassing testing, Infra Red microscopy, and other tests and procedures. EMPL Plastics Lab Electrical Engineer will communicate status & issues with all stakeholders (programs, functional, etc) on a regular basis. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to summarize and present data to customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

  • Familiarity with Military Standards

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering Mathematics (STEM)

  • Experience with Military Standards

  • Laboratory work experience

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Sr. Materials and Processes Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA. Essential Functions: Electrical M&P Labs (EMPL) needs an experienced electrical Engineer who will be responsible for all electrical testing needs within the EMPL section. The EMPL Lab Engineer will be responsible for performing electrical lab tasks such as electrical test design and performance, visual inspections, component level destructive testing, and other electrical component level tests. In addition the EMPL Lab Engineer will also lead a team of electrical engineers to support failure analysis and will communicate status & issues with all stakeholders (programs, functional, etc) on a regular basis. Candidate should be familiar with Military Standards such as Mil-Std-750, Mil-Std-883, Mil-Std-202. Experience with NGAS PIN specs is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to summarize and present data to customers. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) * 9 years of electrical test design experience OR 7 years of electrical test design experience and Masters Degree in STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) * EEE component level Failure Analysis lead experience * Curve trace experience Preferred Qualifications: * Masters Science in Electrical Engineering * Excellent verbal & written communication skills Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
