ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE ENGINEER IN TEST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is looking to hire an associate engineer in test to join an exciting and motivated team. The right engineer will enjoy developing automated tests and testing tools in a highly collaborative setting both with fellow engineers and also across disciplines with product, design and user experience.

This role will work with applications and products in the Planning and Guest Zone, ensuring couples, wedding planners and guests have a consistently excellent experience using The Knot Worldwide's digital products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage skills and experience to develop automated tests and testing tools to ensure product quality.

  • Manual test new features and bug fixes before incorporating them into automated test suites.

  • Interface with and direct remote teams in coordinating cross browser and manual regression testing when needed.

  • Actively participate in the ideation and execution of product roadmap. Help establish requirements for new epics and features.

  • Create clear bug tickets for web and app engineers to address.

  • Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc..

SUCCESSFUL ASSOCIATE ENGINEERS HAVE:

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.

  • Hands on experience writing automated tests for user interfaces. Experience writing automated tests for backend services (APIs, indexers, etc) a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Experience with Selenium and Page-object model of writing UI tests

  • Experience using Node.js or similar technology.

  • Experience working in an Agile, TDD environment.

  • Familiarity with React a plus.

  • Familiarity with AWS/Kubernetes/Docker concepts and technology is a plus.

  • Pair programming experience is a plus.
