This position is responsible for working within teams to define, develop, optimize and specify processes which deliver new products, quality improvements and cost savings opportunities for the Global Category Brands. This candidate will work alongside our senior engineers and will have strong linkages with cross functional partners within the Global Biscuit organization (Marketing, Product Development, Operations and Senior technical Leaders) as well as connections with the regional process teams.

Execute against project plans, deliverables and timelines with the project team to deliver on time and in budget. The candidate must possess sound engineering capabilities, be versatile, able to work in cross-functional teams, and be capable of working proactively across multiple projects. International travel between 20-40% depending on program demands.

Primary responsibilities and % of time required
1.Work as part of a project team to identify process challenges and potential technical solutions which deliver against program objectives. Ensure technical capability, timing and cost effectiveness of solutions to be progressed. 20%
2.Partnering with a senior engineer in the team, design, plan, and execute experiments for bench top, pilot plant and plant trials. Conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data and develop recommendations based on technical rigor and findings. Collaborate with Product and packaging to understand consumer link to process conditions requirements. Execute against project plans, deliverables and timelines with the project team to deliver on time and in budget. Includes travel to conduct development testing at internal and supplier facilities. 40%
3.Document and communicate technical detail in reports and process design specifications to ensure consistent process design and product quality as processes are rolled out to various global regional partners. Clear communication of core fundamentals of proposed processes and designs with Regional Partners. 20%
4.Travel within NA or International Regional Partner and/ or supplier locations to, validate, transfer and embed process technology as part of regional execution (CQV/ Commercialization). 20%

Education Level

Bachelor's Degree (4 Yr)

1.Experience in the food/ baking/ consumer products industry
2.Experience in executing bench top and pilot scale testing and data analysis
3.Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Outlook

1 Strong engineering/ process technical foundation and technical curiosity.
2.Able to conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, with proper scientific rigor, and develop recommendations based on findings. Basic understanding of statistical analysis.
3.Action oriented, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and manage complexity- from bench top to commercialization.
4.Collaborate in cross functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
5.Strong technical writing skills to translate experimental results into process design specifications that deliver consistent, high-quality products across numerous manufacturing facilities.
6.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Flexible style to communicate across functions and global geographies
