Job Description:

Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. Qualified personnel shall have the foregoing experience relating to operations, maintenance, and repair of hardware and software systems/subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.

Designs and develops information processing hardware, computer systems and electrical components.
1.Participates in the research, design, development and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems and electrical components.
2.Designs new products and/or modifies existing products.
3.Develops technical specifications for production.
4.Analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions.
5.Tests hardware performance to specifications.
6.Provides assistance to higher-level hardware engineers.
7.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
8.Participates in special projects as required.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Qualifications
0-2 years of related hardware engineering experience.

Active Secret clearance required.

Skills & Abilities
1.Basic knowledge of hardware engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
2.Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
3.Professional certification in one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.
