This entry-level position is designed to provide recent graduates accelerated training in the EHS field. The role offers real world, hands-on experience in important roles and projects to the company while promoting personal and professional growth in multiple EHS programs.


Development and implementation of projects and/or programs in the different EHS areas (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Process Safety Management, Loss Control, Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Fire Prevention, Contractor Safety) partnering with a senior EHS team member or EHS Management.

Participation in new capital projects.

Development of standardized EHS processes.

Maintains an awareness of new regulations; interprets regulations effecting a specific area.

Interacts with Corporate contacts and Contractors with management oversight.

Maintains knowledge of basic principles and legal requirements relative to EHS.


  • Education: BS degree in Engineering

  • Experience: None required; internship in related field preferred or in pharmaceutical environment.

  • High proficiency in all MS Office applications

  • Knowledge of Lean and Statistical Analysis, desired

  • Language Skills:
    Effective written and oral communication.

  • High Learning Agility


Ability to perform mathematical calculations and perform complex data analysis. Self-driven, insightful.

Frequent time in the manufacturing area around equipment with moving parts, stair climbing, roof access.

Reasoning Ability: Assignments are well defined, requiring limited judgment to solve or complete. The incumbent's work is closely reviewed and will generally follow specific instructions and procedures. Latitude for judgment and initiative is allowed depending upon complexity of the situation.

Work Environment:

Typically in an office environment, but must be willing to work in the field and operating units as needed to fully analyze situations and implement solutions.


Standard work schedule, Monday Friday, days; may infrequently require off-shift and weekend support.

The position will primarily focus on driver safety for route sales, vending, and transport operations. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in DOT compliance as well as is a safety and environmental subject matter expert that can clearly articulate, develop and implement EHS action plans. Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities: * Implement, execute, ensure compliance with the PepsiCo's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures. * Support execution, implementation, and tracking of the site's annual EHS Plan. * Build capability of site resources to support implementation of EHS programming. * Lead a site-wide system, Program Element (PE) process, to identify and evaluate hazards (risks), and implement effective controls (corrective solutions). * Lead incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans. * Interface with regulatory bodies (DOT, State/Local Regulators) * Facilitate the completion of a site-wide annual EHS training plan. * Lead DOT compliance processes, including driver qualification, hours of service, vehicle condition reporting, drug testing, road-side stops and incident logs. * Establish process to ensure driver capability (T.E.S.T. Drive). * Achieve annual targets for incident frequency, severity and related cost reductions. * Demonstrate solid employee relations experience, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. * Display strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills. * Demonstrate professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader. * Position Level L06 Qualifications/Requirements Qualifications/Requirements Basic Job Qualifications: * Five or more years of work experience in the distribution/transportation and/or direct store delivery Preferred Job Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree * Certification in Smith System, T.E.S.T.
