As the marketing creative team for Columbia, we areconstantly in pursuit of stories of people connecting with the outdoors then webring them to life through videography, photography, motion graphics anddigital media. Now, we are looking for a seasoned producer to lead ourinternal and external production teams to bring those stories to life. Are yousomeone with a passion for best-in-class production quality, willing to roll uptheir sleeves and find new, unique and cutting-edge ways to solve productionpuzzles? As AssociateDirector, Production, you would lead by example, producing as well as directingand training other producers, videographers, editors and photographers. Youwould be key to the success of our in-house agency and essential to theelevation of our global creative quality.


  • Be a partner and key collaborator. Youwill work closely with creative directors, brand directors, art directors andcopywriters to find creative, strategy solutions for production needs in ahigh-pressure, deadline driven environment.

  • Be a brilliant producer. You will actas producer for high-quality, best-in-class video, film, photography,editorial and post production.

  • Manage and guide the production team.You will organize, direct, lead and train producers, photographers,videographers, editors on a variety internal and external projects.

  • Scout and connect with top creativetalent. You will vet, create and maintain a reserve of top-notch externalresources.

  • Create a culture of productionexcellence. Push to elevate overall production quality on every project.


  • Expert communicator: Excellent communication skills bothverbal and in written.

  • Relationship Manager: Ability to manage and developinternal client, outside agency and vendor production relationships.

  • Experience: Bachelor'sdegree in production, film or a related field. 8 years + experience as aproducer (advertising agency or production house experience is a must!) Must be able to balance creativity, organization anddiscipline in fast-moving ambiguous environment.

  • Leadership: A minimum of 2 years of experience leadingand training other producers, photographers, videographers, effects, etc. Exceptionalleadership skills including cross-functional management.

  • Portfolio: Demonstrable,broad and varied experience producing photography, video, film, videography,motion graphics, editorial & post production.

  • ProductionManagement: Expertise managing budgets, timelines, and schedules, findingefficiencies and solutions without compromising quality.

  • Innovator: Demonstratedability to think, solve and creative quickly. This is a role for ahighly-motivated, confident, nimble producer who can turn on a dime.

  • Knowledge:
    Expertknowledge of all aspects of video, digital, photo, studio, outdoor and post production.

  • Computerskills: Expert in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe C-suite.

  • Travel: This position will require extensive travel and mayat times exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week.
