Job Description

Our Company has been committed to advancing science for the treatment and prevention of HIV for more than 35 years. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate consumer marketer to join our team in the fight against HIV/AIDS to be a voice for patients living with HIV. We are looking for a highly motivated and creative self-starter to oversee consumer strategy across a significant franchise. The HCC Strategy lead will oversee consumer strategy and planning for multiple anticipated products in the pipeline, including positioning, targeting and promotional execution (including but not limited to, segmentation, market research, and creative campaign development). The consumer lead will work closely with the HIV US Commercial Leader as part of the overall brand marketing team and will report directly to the Marketing Chapter Lead, who oversees the strategic marketers across product teams. The consumer strategy point will oversee the creative agency of record and also collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive and align on decisions, including global communications, marketing operations, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, etc.

Our U.S. marketing team has adopted an Agile operating model to be more adaptive and responsive to rapidly evolving customer needs and keep pace with the digital evolution in the marketplace. This Agile model enables marketers to enhance their experience, building skills and capabilities that flex across various commercial functions based on business needs and priorities. The specific assignments of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the marketing team to define and convey the role of the patient within a complex ecosystem

  • Directing the consumer strategy development and execution for anticipated launches, identifying both product and franchise opportunities

  • Partnering with global communications, policy and HIV Community guide to ensure executional alignment against strategic imperatives

  • Partnering with Product Owner to drive brand strategy by providing input on HCC strategy and decisions that affect HCC segment

  • Steering the process of segmentation, targeting, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Ensuring an integrated approach by partnering with the team and segmented stakeholders across business priorities

  • Collaborating with the market research, spirited intelligence, and analytics team to generate key insights that inform business decisions

  • Working with the internal Digital Engagement Team to develop assets, devise digital strategies, and create engagement plans.

  • This is a hybrid role based in Upper Gwynedd, PA, with an expectation of working on-site three days per week.

Position Qualifications:

  • BA/BS

  • Preferred: MBA

Knowledge and skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years healthcare industry knowledge, including at least 3 years in strategic marketing and brand management

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, analytical critical thinking and planning skills

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills as demonstrated in strategy & marketing business case communication

  • Comprehension of omnichannel marketing, digital and social media channels, and agencies

  • A growth mindset, strong partnership and business agility

  • Demonstrates high degree of integrity and ethics

  • Influencing without direct authority, navigating complex or matrix organizations and working successfully with cross-functional teams

Preferred knowledge and skills:

  • Product launch or launch planning knowledge

  • Comprehension of HIV ecosystem and landscape

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics and/or customer and market insights to make business decisions

  • Strong project management skills as demonstrated by prioritizing activities, using resources optimally, establishing appropriate deadlines and ensuring on-time delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to create solutions that drive value for our customers, incorporating innovative approaches where relevant

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
