Job Title:ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR SALES & MARKETING (IVD)
Location: GREATER VANCOUVER, BC

The Opportunity
As an Associate Director, Sales and Marketing, you will lead and build the client’s Sales and Marketing team in the IVD segment. You are a seasoned industry professional who has a proven track record in medical device, biotechnology, and scientific sales with experience in revitalizing and enhancing the sales strategy across all channels. You possess a comprehensive and strategic approach to developing a refreshed sales plan aimed at optimizing performance and driving growth.Your exceptional leadership skills and goal-oriented mindset will be pivotal to working with the leadership team and in driving forward the success of the IVD business.Your Key Responsibilities
Leadership:

  • Lead, inspire and grow a dynamic sales and marketing team, setting clear goals and objectives while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Lead sales and marketing strategy formulation and implementation to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Implement effective training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members, coaching and ensuring continuous growth and adaptation to industry trends.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence within the team, promoting creativity and initiative, fostering a sense of pride in achieving sales goals and recognizing and rewarding outstanding sales performance to facilitate individual and collective success. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, customer service, finance) to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Sales:
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead sales and marketing strategy formulation and implementation to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Optimize customer satisfaction and promote product adoption through proactive engagement and feedback.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed sales reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct regular customer site visits to build strong client relationships and gather feedback.
  • Forecast market conditions and initiate strategic planning to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Efficiently manage resources for robust pre-sales and post-sales support.
  • Develop effective revenue modelling and pricing strategies based on market analysis and product value.
  • Implement and manage sales enablement tools and technologies to enhance sales team productivity and efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing sales processes and implementing best practices.
Marketing:
  • Lead marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and satisfaction through strategic market analysis and implementation.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) to align marketing objectives.
  • Translate market insights into actionable strategies for growth.
  • Lead brand development and budget management to maximize ROI.

Qualifications
An ideal candidate will have a BSc, preferably an MSc degree, in Biochemistry, Marketing, or a related discipline, with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in leading sales and marketing teams for a Life Sciences product or service. ANDThe candidate must have legal authority to work in Canada.What’s in it for you?
