Are you ready to lead the project management office at Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC) and spearhead all strategic projects including capital projects? We are looking for a dynamic leader who can recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff while providing leadership and direction in areas of the site’s project portfolio, including strategic planning.

This position is responsible for campus-wide capital budget and requires in-depth experience of project management for large and complex projects at a site operating 24/7. Accountabilities: As an Associate Director, you will apply your extensive expertise as a project manager within the biotech or pharma industry to successfully deliver complex project and program outcomes while managing stakeholder expectations. You will maintain a high level of expertise in the field of project management and within the biotech or pharma industry through review of current scientific, professional and business literature, and attendance and participation at professional organizations.

You will also supervise staff, provide development, coaching and mentoring, develop and execute strategic plans for the Project Management Office, and drive improvements to support a Lean culture across the site with innovative ideas. Essential Skills/Experience: Education: BS required Science degree (chemistry, biology, engineering) strongly preferred.

Minimum of 10 years experience in pharmaceutical/biotech 8 years project management experience. 1-2 years of supervisory experience or experience managing temporary workers or contractors. Manufacturing, MST, or CM&C PM experience required. Experience with tech transfer required.

Direct experience executing tech transfer projects a plus Desirable Skills/Experience: Masters preferred Lean/Six Sigma experience Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PMP or similar project management certification preferred When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
