Associate Director, Product Marketing & Go to Market, Hotel IT

Amadeus is recruiting a leader to oversee the execution of Go-To-Market for Hotel IT, a €280M revenue line for Amadeus. Hotel IT is critical to Hospitality as the linchpin of our product portfolio and platform, and carries strategic importance for Amadeus Group, with investors and customers expecting delivery of the next-generation platform to achieve Amadeus's sustainable diversification and scale in hospitality.

The Product Marketing & Go to Market VP is responsible for ensuring the successful achievement of the new sales and revenue objectives of Hotel IT by articulating a clear product portfolio strategy and product marketing story rooted in competitive analytics, as well as driving the cross-functional execution of our in-market commercial strategy with sales, product development, marketing and operations for our existing product line as well as bringing the next generation Platform to the marketplace.

In this role you'll / Your main responsibilities

Maintain leadership in core Hotel IT portfolio through customer engagement and retention:

  • Evolve positioning of our portfolio USPs aligned to customer needs and competitive movements.

  • Increase product stickiness and usage by disseminating best practices and effective feature adoption campaigns.

  • Drive retention campaigns and future roadmap inputs based on key customer feedback.

Drive new sales through increased penetration of core markets and through market expansion:

  • Accelerate sales of our Reservation, Sales & Catering, and Service Optimization solutions, via targeted segmentation strategy and marketing tactics, incentives, value-led positioning, sales enablement.

  • Cross sell additional Hotel IT products to existing customers through compelling narratives, case studies and proof points touting the benefits of our connected portfolio.

  • Educate sales and operations teams, articulate competitive landscaping and positioning, and execute commercial campaigns in collaboration with Sales in defined markets to enable the further internationalization of our portfolio.

Bring our differentiated platform vision to the market:

  • Inspire prospects, customers, investors and internal stakeholders and prove Amadeus Hospitality's differentiation by clearly articulating our unique Platform vision and capabilities.

  • Demonstrate our shift from discussing an integrated CRS/PMS core vision to the tangible productized outcomes and customer benefits that exist today, including Platform capabilities and Shared Services, creating widespread market demand for our Platform as it becomes ready for broader sales.

  • Position Amadeus as a thought leader through earned media and customer successes that demonstrate our Platform's ability to bring value across the industry in our long-term vision as well as in the near term through a well-defined and clearly communicated roadmap.

Product Marketing & Positioning:

  • Develop, maintain, and implement marketing content and strategies for Hotel IT solutions across various Buyer Persona(s), Market Segments, Property Types, and Regions.

  • Create compelling value propositions for the Hotel IT product vertical, its individual solutions, and relevant bundles, ensuring messaging differentiates Amadeus products and services and aligns with transversal Hospitality marketing objectives.

  • Plan and execute the launch of new products and releases as well as launches into new segments or regions, in collaboration with transversal marketing and commercial organizations.

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Lead content strategy for a product vertical, adapted by buyer persona. Research, define, and write prospect and customer-facing content such as ebooks, articles, blogs, collateral, and testimonials. Coordinate with transversal Hospitality marketing for content creation and publication.

HIT Leadership support, team engagement & organizational alignment:

  • Define and execute key HIT leadership initiatives that support inter team communication and collaboration as well as stakeholder relations, including regular Town Halls and Quarterly Business Reviews.

  • Bring the HIT vision and initiatives to our internal team in a way that inspires and connects us.

  • Bring together hospitality functions across the E2E customer lifecycle (product, marketing, sales, delivery, training, customer support) in support of key initiatives (international expansion of OP products; launching new web+res booking engine; articulating future-looking story about Amadeus' innovative platform, etc.)

Build a winning team and Go to Market organization:

  • Create repeatable go to market and portfolio analytics/competitive analysis processes that can be applied across our hospitality business. Coach team to adopt these activities and build a go to market muscle in Amadeus Hospitality.

  • Coach and mentor direct report(s) to deliver marketing and business goals for the Hotel IT product vertical.

About the ideal candidate

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably coupled with a master's in marketing or business administration.

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing, commercial strategy and business development roles in technology, travel or hospitality industries.

  • At least 5+ years of relevant work experience in product marketing and executing the entire product marketing process.

  • Demonstrated track record crafting positioning and marketing content.

  • Experience leading end to end Go to Market initiatives preferably in technology/SaaS businesses with global scope.

  • Proven experience in managing and coaching direct reports to build high performance teams.

  • A proven ability to deliver results working in well-established multinational companies.

  • You have a keen interest in technology, business strategy, and the hospitality industry.

  • You learn quickly and can present complex content in an accessible and clear way, adapted to different audiences.

  • You have a desire to solve problems for your company and your customers and are able to lead and inspire others to attain your vision of how things should be.

  • Fluent in English, another language such as French or Spanish is a plus.
