The Associate Director of Plant Operations supports Jackson West Medical Center mission of creating a rewarding patient experience by developing and facilitating well-designed facility management and related projects that provide safe, compliant, aesthetic and functional environment of care while the facilities are under construction, during commissioning and later when facility opens for patient care. The Associate Director develops, maintains and manages a system to ensure compliance with applicable environment of care, fire and life safety codes and regulatory agencies such as CMS, AHCA, ADA, TJC, OSHA, NFPA and others as they may apply.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related technical area required. Master's degree preferred.
5-7 years progressive facility management experience.
Or 10 years of Hospital Facilities management and leadership at a like or larger size facility.
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of healthcare facility regulation and compliance practices including satisfactory leadership of The Joint Commission Triennial certification and HCAHPS improvement methodology. High level of performance in preparing staffing plan and annual operating budget.
Knowledge of various construction methods and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances. Demonstrate management know-how, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate well-both verbally and in writing.
Experience or training in maintenance management systems is preferred.
Proficient with computer systems such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
A mindset of Continuous Improvement is a must.
