Job Summary

Purdue University and the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business are looking for a candidate The Associate Director of Recruiting develops and implements recruiting strategies and communication plans to recruit and yield top students to the residential and online Graduate programs at the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business. Responsible for working with the recruiting team to communicate our key marketing messages and selling points to prospective students, via on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruiting activities. Coordinate recruiting efforts with Program Management, the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business Professional Development Center, and Alumni Relations. Assist in managing the recruiting and events budget to ensure our recruiting activities provide the greatest yield for the investment. Serve as the primary contact and resource for prospective students for assigned programs, working to help them navigate the application process and be responsible for yielding candidates once they are admitted.

A systematic process for creating new degree programs that leverage the unique strengths of Purdue and the School of Management; engaging in continuous quality improvement via external program reviews for existing programs; and strengthening the integrated management core.

Programs that enhance learning outcomes by improving faculty course design and classroom presence; expanding alumni- and executive-in-residence programs; developing peer mentoring and tutoring networks; adopting advanced learning technologies; and building out core tools digital libraries.

  • Transformational Experiences. Growing undergraduate research, study abroad, and case competitions while significantly expanding experiential learning via internal programs and corporate engagement.

The target salary for this position will start around $65,000 per year, plus benefits.

Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business/management, communications, or a related field

  • Six years of experience in student recruiting, higher education marketing, sales, alumni relations, student services, or academic advising

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Capable of managing complex processes, supervising a staff of graduate students, interacting positively with a diverse population, thinking creatively, and working independently

  • Ability to manage the image of the Krannert Graduate programs and promote them using a full range of marketing, promotional, and face-to-face or virtual recruiting techniques and strategies

  • Demonstrated knowledge of graduate business education markets and environments

  • Ability to organize and navigate logistical and operational challenges

  • Desired qualities include engaging, enthusiastic, flexible, having a good sense of humor, ability to sell the programs

  • Evenings, weekends, and overnight travel (up to 40% travel from mid-August through mid-February).

  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred:

  • Master's degree

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products, CRM, and Admissions Management Systems

  • Experience with Salesforce
