Associate Director Of Operations - Lieoc - Farmingdale State College

Job Description:

The Associate Director of Operations for the Long Island Educational Opportunity Center is responsible for ensuring the buildings and satellite sites are fully operational and in compliance for LIEOC and Farmingdale State College policies and procedures. They will be responsible for procurement as related to sites and satellite facilities, including vendor estimates that meet College guidelines and requirements. The Associate Director of Operations will also oversee the maintenance and clerical personnel assigned at EOC sites and satellite locations. Responsibilities include:

• Interactions with building management / owners, as well as campus officials to ensure facilities are safe and meet all necessary federal, state and local codes.

• Knowledge of, and implementation of compliance and practices for maintaining and operating a safe facility.

• Oversee scheduling of maintenance work.

• Responsible for inventory and maintaining appropriate stock levels and or replacement parts.

• Coordinate with Instructional Technology department for the overall security of the building(s).

• Oversee departments as assigned by the Executive Director of the LIEOC.

• Acts as the liaison for the LIEOC with the following Campus areas: Maintenance, Physical Plant, Administration and Finance, and Purchasing.

The Associate Director of Operations reports to the Executive Director of the LIEOC.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field.

• Three to five years experience in facilities, operations, management of, or related experience.

• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and scheduling.

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in a related field

Additional Information:

This is a full-time UUP position.

• For the first 10 working days, beginning Wednesday, October 25, 2023 and ending Tuesday, November 7, 2023, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.

• Salary: $70,000 + $3,026 in downstate location pay = $73,026 Total Annual Compensation. Salary may increase commensurate with experience.
