As Associate Director of Marketing, you will work closely with the General Manager of Marketing and Brand to support the Ad Age brand and its full range of offerings, from events and podcasts to custom programs and platforms. Your smart and strategic efforts support products and solutions that help educate and empower the industry and enable us to successfully connect to the Ad Age audience. Lead the development of multi-channel marketing plans for the Ad Age brand and its full portfolio, including digital/social, learning and events, original and partner content, media and audience development
Lead the development of sales marketing plans and tools (presentations, sell sheets, mailers) that help our sales team educate potential clients on full breadth of Ad Age offerings
Leverage best practices and gather insights to refine and evolve our marketing efforts
Work with the general manager and publisher to help bring new key revenue-driving projects and opportunities to life
Be the subject matter expert for assigned products and programs
Build productive relationships with internal and external project stakeholders to help foster collaboration and communication
Organize meetings, facilitate timelines and drive projects to completion
Work closely with audience development to ensure effective audience communications and deployment
Gather market intelligence to help drive the differentiation for our audience-centric approach and its position in the competitive landscape
Communicate findings effectively and persuasively in both verbal and written form
Able to provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
7+ years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced marketing team or managing/supporting complex, multi-platform projects
Advanced knowledge of marketing tools and technologies (HootSuite, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager)
Ability to measure and report on campaign performance
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Passion for brand strategy and positioning
Highly organized with an eye for detail
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
Exceptional writing and speaking skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and/or Keynote
Ability to proactively anticipate hurdles and propose solutions
Experience managing budgets and timelines
Curiosity for finding new ways of communicating information to our audience
Able to identify and implement improvements to streamline and make activities and processes more efficient
Experience working with a media brand
Experience working alongside an editorial team
Experience with CRM systems
Experience working with a creative services team
Events experience a plus
This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
