REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources

POSITION OVERVIEW: Assist with the planning, coordination, and management of various HR functions with including, salary administration, employee relations, compensation, employee appraisals, and training/organizational development.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise HR Business Partners day to day activities

  • Assist in the administration of compensation and benefit programs ensuring cost-effectiveness, market competitiveness, and internal equity; work with outside consultants on various benefits and compensation programs.

  • Assist in managing wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance appraisal programs, employee benefits programs and services. Monitor for effectiveness, equity, market competitiveness and cost control.

  • Assist in developing and managing internal and external training programs.

  • Recruit for high-level positions.

  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of employee relations issues.

  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of federal and state laws/regulations affecting benefits and compensation. Interpret laws and policies and advise management and employees; maintain and update employee handbook.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly human resources statistics (hires, separations, turnover, tenure); identify trends.

  • Work with the HRIS (Colleague) in its employee data functions; extract data and prepare reports.

  • Oversee HR intranet/website content - updating as needed.

  • Interact with senior management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plus.

  • 5-6 years of Human Resources experience.

  • Demonstrated success in a supervisory capacity.

  • Advanced organizational, interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of benefits and compensation

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
