This position will primarily support employee populations for Starcom USA in Detroit in the area of employee relations & organizational development with significant accountability for the development and facilitation of programs and initiatives that foster a culture of high performing and engaged teams. This position will serve as one of the core leads and key project manager for many existing and to be developed initiatives that drive Diversity & Inclusion, Innovation, Learning & Development, Engagement and Talent Mobility. In addition, this position may at times participate in or lead global HR initiatives in support of broader Publicis Media US and/or Starcom Global Talent initiatives as needed

* Provide frontline HR strategy and delivery to employee population of approximately 300+ employees. * Build value-added relationships with agency leadership and the employee population; Serve as an employee advocate; encourage alignment of employee interest and the goals of the business and the nurturing of company culture * Provide HR consulting and counseling to managers and employees for all facets of HR. Including, but not limited to: *
  • Change management * Issue and conflict resolution * All employee relations & performance management issues * Policy interpretation and compliance * Provide HR oversight for Talent Management and Performance Management Program (Time2Talk) as well as facilitating with manager and key Publicis partners on special training needs required for employee population. You will also manage/monitor and maintain reporting against client group usage. * Oversee career pathing experiences and tools from new hire on-boarding, to mid and senior management development specifically for Detroit based population and work with your manager to ensure onboarding and career pathing tools evolve with needs of employee population. * Partner with Director, Talent Acquisition to oversee internal career mobility within Detroit and manage process both within Starcom and/or sister agencies for seamless transition and coordination on impact to talent acquisition needs. * Work with manager, key agency leads, and local employee population to help establish and support extensions of Citizens of Starcom (culture committee) and Spectrum (diversity and inclusion advocates) in Detroit. * As required, based on issues uncovered, engagement survey data or other initiatives, facilitate with appointed team members within agency the analysis and creation of action plans to address/improve employee engagement issues. * Partner with legal counsel to mitigate risk and ensure that policies, practices and employment decisions comply with federal and state employment laws or global labor laws, working closely with manager and other Publicis Media leads to ensure policies reflect current requirements. * Co- own knowledge share and team building remit for immediate and broader talent team; partner as needed with talent colleagues across Starcom. Publicis Media and Publicis Groupe. * Responsible for overseeing the dissemination of Agency specific updates and Publicis updates in Starcom Detroit as required. * Work with the Talent and Local Starcom team to assist in the production of metrics and reports, as needed, and analyze trends and feedback to help improve employee morale and overall retention. * Partner with payroll and finance staff to execute salary actions for client population as needed. * May support some talent acquisition needs, as required, to either increase knowledge of business or to provide more full service support to some client groups.Qualifications * Bachelor's degree; MA in related discipline preferred. * Minimum of 5 + years as a Generalist. * Demonstrated ability working in the Human Resources function within a fast moving, multi-faceted and global organization. * Proven experience in handling complex employee relations issues; can quickly investigate and uncover, and adeptly address root cause issues with manager and employees. * Experiencing in managing change and working with start-up/newly forming teams to establish key processes and protocol and facilitate best practices in terms of performance and team dynamics . * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface and influence all levels of management and personnel. * Proven ability to effectively develop and facilitate training modules including effective written/power point design skills as well as excellent presentation skills, a plus. * Adept at influencing, negotiating and partnering with a diverse group of people in a cross functional matrix environment on a global level. * Solid experience sourcing, assessing fit and capabilities, and closing prospective hires, a plus. * Able to establish a high level of trust and credibility in the organization. * Flexibility and time management; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multi-task effectively. * Ability to work well both autonomously and with groups. * Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, management, or members of the business community and ensure immediate response and resolution to such issues * Ability to effectively communicate information and POV to senior management. * Ability to nurture and encourage a team-oriented environment; strong emphasis on team building through training, coaching and mentoring. * Strong computer skills: Windows, Microsoft Office (EXCEL; PPT etc.), HRIS and all other applicable HR systems.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
