Associate Director Of Graduate Admissions

Located in greater Boston, the Heller School for Social Policy and Management is ranked in the top ten schools of social policy by U.S. News & World Report. Heller faculty, students, and staff are deeply committed to positive social change both locally and globally.

We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Associate Director of Graduate Admissions. This position plays a crucial role in recruiting and yielding students to Heller graduate programs.

This position is suitable for partially remote work 2-3 days per week, and on-campus work 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages the admissions process for Heller master's degree programs. This includes interviewing applicants, reviewing applications, and making admission decisions in collaboration with the Assistant Dean.

• Manages the planning and implementation of on-campus and virtual recruiting and yield events. This includes scheduling, developing content, and presenting along with program faculty, students, and alumni.

• Engages in consistent and timely communication with prospective students and applicants, and manages a comprehensive yield plan for admitted applicants.

• Serves as the primary recruiter for Heller, attending graduate school fairs and conferences locally and across the U.S. (seasonal travel; 15% of time).

• Manages Heller's partnerships with select organizations.

• Produces admissions reports for academic program staff.

• Serves as co-supervisor for the office's graduate assistants.

Qualifications and Additional Information:

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. At least five years of relevant experience in admissions, excellent project management skills, and attention to details.

Demonstrated ability to write and speak professionally and persuasively and to engage diverse audiences through both group presentations and individual consultations. Experience with CRMs, Slate preferred. Must be able to travel for 2-3 days at a time within the U.S.

The person in this position is required to analyze data and trends - both internal and external - and develop and implement strategies in various aspects of recruitment and yield in order to meet program targets and budget expectations.

Must be able to transport admissions publications and displays to graduate school fairs.
