The Content and Creative Strategy team consists of writers, designers, strategists, creators, and content marketers with a passion to engage and persuade donors to invest in the work of Emory. This position will report to the Senior Associate Director of Editorial Content.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Curates, creates, and designs digital content across Emory and external communications platforms to engage target audiences.

  • Segments and targets content to build increased awareness, convert, and retain constituent audiences.

  • Develops and manages the Advancement and Alumni Engagement strategy for cross-promotion of content to drive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) marketing efforts.

  • Drives and develops AAE content marketing strategy, creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain alumni/constituent audiences.

  • Determines strategy and generates content for digital storytelling, engagement, marketing and communications, design and research.

  • Partners with others to create storyboards and video content.

  • Stays abreast of latest trends in digital content, marketing, video, technologies and social media strategies.

  • Performs related responsibilities as assigned.

Represent the department or serve as primary contact working with other departments across the division/University.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in content marketing, digital communications or digital marketing OR an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful candidates will possess mastery in micro-storytelling, and framing content for targeted audiences that result in action.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge and understanding of SEO/SEM marketing tactics.

  • Strong creative, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and navigate a complex work environment.

  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and comfort working with ambiguity.

  • Possess a high level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality with sound judgment and discretion.

The role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.

Description The Rollins School of Public Health is referred to as Atlanta's "Public Health Capital of the World." Students learn to identify, analyze, and intervene in today's most pressing public health issues. The public health school's location is also home to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and numerous state and regional health agencies. The Associate Director will primarily focus on writing RSPH advancement communications and researching related donors and funding opportunities. This position will report to the Senior Director of Development. JOB DESCRIPTION: * Guides operational aspects for an advancement and alumni engagement program in a school or unit. * Develops plans and objectives to ensure success of the program, while working with other departments and colleagues. * Leverages relationships within the school or unit as well as central service units to build mutually beneficial relationships, improve communication and collaborative teamwork, and increase campus understanding of advancement and alumni engagement processes. * Writes/creates briefings, reports, letters, and other materials for the school/unit. * Manages multiple projects supporting the engagement or fundraising goals of the school/unit. * Makes decisions on how data should be collected and routed for updating reports in systems, and ensuring reporting is processed appropriately. * May provide administrative, event, or technical support. * May administer budgets. * May manage relationships and service agreements with outside vendors and internal customers. * Performs other related duties as required. ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS: In addition to the duties outlined above, the Associate Director may be required to: * Partner in the development, facilitation, or management of fundraising efforts, alumni engagement, and program objectives. * May include pipeline referrals and development, alumni/constituent giving, and donor relations activity. * Provide onboarding support for new staff members. * Represent the department working with other departments across the division/University. * Lead team projects, cultivation and stewardship events, moves management, metrics, and data analysis for program evaluation.
