Position Title: Associate Director of Development, Annual Giving

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To: Executive Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of Development, Annual Giving is an integral member of the REHAB Foundation team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director (ED), of the Foundation for the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB Hospital) and working with the Foundation team, the role of the Associate Director of Development is to assist with developing, establishing and carrying out an effective multi-year Annual Giving strategy to support the on-going programs, projects and activities of the organization. Develops, plans and implements individual donor cultivation, stewardship, outreach events and activities. Through thoughtful cultivation of the organization's annual donors, the Associate Director of Development position is responsible for forging meaningful relationships and impactful campaigns to support REHAB Hospital.

Starting Wage: $72,000.00/year.

The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:

  • Valid State of Hawaii driver's license.

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited college with a Bachelor's Degree.

Skills/Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years experience in fundraising or a related field that provides an equivalent skillset in a nonprofit environment.

  • Consistently increased revenue.

  • Successful relationship building with donors/customers.

  • Passion and commitment for our mission, vision and values of REHAB Hospital.

  • Team player with a strong work ethic, high integrity and moral character.

  • Strategic big-picture thinker, with the ability to recognize and plan for details.

  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Stellar sales and negotiation abilities, tempered with diplomacy.

  • Attention to detail in planning, organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to execute timely.

  • Creative solution-focused thinking, resourceful and entrepreneurial.

  • Professional, friendly, approachable, and curious.

  • Self-starter to initiative and carry-through.

  • Discrete and maintain confidential information.

  • Committed to continued professional growth and development.

  • Comfortable navigating technology and computer software. Proficient in email communication, Adobe, virtual meeting software, MS office Suite and Google workspace.

  • Database experience with a fundraising Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool is an asset

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited college with a Master's Degree

Skills/Experience:

  • Six (6) to eight (8) years experience in the fundraising arena, particularly in successful major donor recruitment and retention, corporate and foundation relationship building, successful donor campaigns, events, strategic planning, and fundraising program development.

  • Team player with a strong work ethic, high integrity and moral character.
