Associate Director of Curricular Partnerships
Parsons School of Design
Working collaboratively with the academic leadership, faculty and the Parsons Deans Council, the Associate Director will be responsible for initiating and managing new and existing curricular partnerships for Parsons. This twelve-month full-time position reports to the Director of Events and Partnerships.
The Associate Director of Curricular Partnerships will work alongside the Executive Dean, School Deans, Associate Dean to establish potential projects/partners and further improve the effectiveness of existing projects through increasing the level of engagement, resources and support from curricular external partners.
Principle aspects or overarching objectives of the role will be to:
Initiate new strategic partnerships in alignment with the evolution of the curriculum that support both the present and the future pedagogical vision of Parsons
Build relationships with representatives from industry and key stakeholders in order to deepen ties within our community.
Work collaboratively to establish long-range goals for partnerships that enhance the Parsons identity at large.
Establish interdisciplinary projects between schools and/or programs, as well as with Parsons Design Lab.
Plan and implement major activities such as conferences, collaborative partnerships, and educational programs to support identified needs and issues in our community. This is a grant funded position slated to end, June 30, 2021.
Curricular partner project administration:
Communicates protocols for course based curricular lead projects, open contests and exhibitions.
Negotiate and establish project terms with curricular external partners and liaise with General Counsel Office on contract terms for all projects and partnerships.
Budget management and development working with the Senior Directors of Grants & Restricted in the Deans Office.
Works with the Office of Development as needed on a variety of tasks related to projects: setting up of funds, scholarships and evaluating new relationships
Participate in Division or institution wide committees as appropriate.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
