ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY PROGRAMS | FOUR DAY WORKWEEK | HIRING RANGE IS $52,714 - $56,435

What will you be doing?

As our Associate Director for Community Programs, you will be responsible for directing the implementation of programs and grants in our six-county Council jurisdiction, which helps us deliver on our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Implementation includes proactive program oversight to successfully fulfill grant or donor requirements; frequent collection, compilation and monitoring of documents needed for reporting; hiring and supervising Program and Troop Facilitators; collaboration with colleagues; and curriculum development.

Every day, you will monitor program and grant outcomes and outputs against grant or donor requirements, identify any gaps in deliverables, and inform deliverable owners in time to act and timely produce the necessary deliverables. You will also ensure that necessary program delivery sites at area schools, organizations or community sites remain secured for program delivery or that adequate alternatives are timely identified. Every week, you will collect, track, and report on grant and donor requirements, including attendance sheets, pre and post program surveys, and outputs and outcomes.

You will also meet with your direct reports, supervisor and colleagues to both receive and provide guidance related to grant or donor requirements. At least monthly, you will update a calendar reflecting the scheduled delivery of programs in the community by Program and Troop Facilitators, and when necessary, yourself. The Assistant Director of Community Programs will also order, package and distribute program supplies, process administrative and financial documents, monitor assigned budgets and plan.

To thrive in this role, you must be resilient, skilled at communicating the current status of work against deadlines and requirements in a motivational manner, able to gain commitments from external partners, invested in co-creating solutions when challenges arise, and have experience in the realm of teaching or training. This Assistant Director of Community Programs role requires both project and people management skills.

The Assistant Director of Community Programs reports to the Senior Vice President of Membership & Business Systems.

Who are we seeking?

  • Someone with strong communication skills and the ability to build, maintain and leverage relationships to meet goals.

  • An Assistant Director of Community Programs with prior experience in the fields of teaching or training, and preferably with prior supervisory experience.

  • A tech-savvy candidate who is comfortable working at an organization that provides programs through multiple mediums (in person, online, hybrid, train-the-trainer) and which is transitioning to a paperless environment.

  • An Assistant Director of Community Programs who is organized, detail-oriented and possesses excellent time management skills who can plan, organize, and prioritize work, to successfully meet multiple deadlines.

  • A candidate who has the ability to work independently within a collaborative environment.

What else will you need?

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum of four years' recent, relevant experience required.

  • Prior supervisory experience and training or experience leading Girl Scout troops strongly preferred.

  • Prior project management experience and bilingual (Spanish/French) preferred.

What will you get?

The hiring range for this position is $52,714 - $56,435.

This is an exempt, in-based Assistant Director of Community Programs position located in our Lake Worth Headquarters. Office hours for our four-day workweek are Monday- Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. with a half hour lunch; some evening and weekend hours may be required to meet business needs.

Following the 60 Day Introductory Period, eligible team members may participate in our Office Optional Monday program with supervisor approval. The Office Optional Monday program provides team members with an opportunity to work from home on Mondays.
