What You'll Be Helping Achieve
RPA is looking for an Associate Media Director to act as the Multicultural Marketing Lead within the strategy teams on both Honda & Acura. The chosen candidate will work collaboratively with both teams, reporting into the Strategy Directors. The position requires thorough knowledge of the multicultural marketing landscape, with particular focus on Hispanic targets (but also with AA and Asian audiences.) Working knowledge of and relationships with the key vendors in the space would be preferred, although to be clear this role will not be required to handle any investment. Comfort in strategic planning for broadcast and online video, display, etc. is expected. This position requires 5+ years of media planning experience, preferably on mid-to-large size clients with a portfolio of multiple products/audiences.
What You'll Be Working On
Lead strategic plan development specific to MC targets (in coordination with Strategy AMD peers on Honda and Acura teams), creating detailed audience overviews as needed
Support existing strategy teams in a total market planning capacity at times, depending on workload
Serve as primary point of contact to marketing clients and MC creative agencies on specific campaigns/initiatives related to multi-cultural audiences
Represent Honda/Acura teams as a primary lead with the MC vendor community
Provide ongoing thought-leadership to clients and to internal RPA teams re: multicultural marketing trends
How You'll Excel in Your Role
Strong written and verbal communication abilities; ability to present well in both formal and informal settings
Strong knowledge of media planning across channels, with particular focus on linear video, digital video/display/etc.
Collaboration ability to work seamlessly with general-market strategy teams to create compelling holistic recommendations
Strong critical thinking skills comfort in reviewing client business data along with audience data to determine the right opportunities for MC-specific marketing; comfort in reviewing research results and interpreting them for application to client business and media strategy
Able to work well independently, as this role doesn't have team members directly reporting into them, but instead would work collaboratively with existing strategy teams when the focus turns to MC topics/opportunities
Management skills ability to provide constructive criticism along with positive feedback, and be able to handle personality conflicts that may arise
Need to be organized to keep straight the needs for many plans being executed simultaneously
