Job Description

  • Responsible for the day to day administrative management and supervision of department operations of the CPEP and associated services and programs including Extended Observation Beds, Mobile Crisis, and Crisis Residential services.

  • Develops operating plans, programs, policies and procedures to implement program goals and objectives. Plays a critical leadership role in the implementation of strategic short and long term initiatives in CPEP and Mobile Crisis Unit.

  • Overall information and quality management responsibilities for CPEP and the Mobile Crisis Unit.

  • Assists BH department head in the development of policies and procedures and uses these resources as a framework for accomplishing goals and objectives.

  • Resolves issues relating to staffing, utilization of hospital facilities, equipment and supplies. Holds regular staff meetings to communicate progress in meeting program goals.

  • Develops and presents metrics to evaluate program's financial and operational performance.

  • Monitors PS, OTPS, Billings, Collectability, and capital budgets as well as revenue targets and makes course corrections where needed to meet organizational goals and objectives.

  • Ensures adherence to internal policies and procedures including financial control requirements and billing compliance regulations, monitors and provides solutions for contract compliance issues.

  • Provides professional, technical, administrative and support services as needed to other hospital departments.

  • Provides recommendations and direction concerning proposed projects and/or other related programs designed to enhance services.

Minimum Qualifications

1.A Master's Degree in Public Administration, Public Health, Health Care Specialization, Social Work, Psychology or related field; and,

2.Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital or regulatory agency administration, with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services; or,

3.A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Reviews charges in the EPIC Review Charge section * Verify entry/start and exit/stop times for procedure as appropriate * Verify documented chargeable items * Verify final procedure (s) * Update the one-time supplies for charging * Work/coordinate with appropriate staff to resolve errors * If case was cancelled after patient arrived, verify Charge Information section * Add reconciliation notes when applicable * Any other duties necessary to post the charge logs which must be posted within 1-2 Business days * Work with back-up charge poster as necessary * Work with staff in the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit and Labor and Delivery unit resolve related issues * Work with Material Management Staff and Vendor Representatives to resolve supply issues and charges * Coordinate with Billing on accounts in Charge Review work queues * Enter data into database for EPIC Charge posting tracking * Develop work queues to flag patterns in your system where there are codes linked to multiple missing charges * Develop work queues to catch high-dollar and/or high-quantity errors * Work as the liaison between the revenue integrity team, clinicians and EPIC * Work with nursing leadership to coordinate and implement departmental initiatives * Assist with other related duties Minimum Qualifications * A Master's degree in Arts or Science with a specialization in hospital administration, health care administration, administrative medicine or in public health when conferred for a program in hospital administration, from an approved college or university; or a Baccalaureate degree; and, * One (1) year of administrative experience and background; or, * An equivalent combination of training, education and experience in related fields and educational disciplines; and, * General knowledge of policies and programs utilized in the operation of a health care facility, ability to assimilate and analyze data, to recommend action based on analytical findings, and to assist in the solution of complex problems in health care administration and management. * BCLS, PALS, and NRP Certifications How To Apply If you wish to apply for this position, please apply online by clicking the "Apply Now" button.
